Littlebill
NCS beat Cuse. Enuff said. And so did Boston College. So?
DeSmetBilliken
What seed would we have gotten if we had won in Brooklyn? Probably a 4 or 5, but the 5 wouldn't have been in this region of death we're in.
DD3
Bottom line is we would've been better off as a 7 seed in any other region than a 5 in the Midwest.
kwyjibo
The only people who thought SLU was going to be a 5 seed were those who were running computer models and my brother (I was wrong again). Foo foo computers rule! Obviously tough break with "pleasing to the eye test" Louisville, but got to win Thursday first.
NextYearBill
im glad were in the tournament
DD3
I'm not complaining. IF we win our first two games, you have to feel really great about our chances the rest of the way. None of us thought we'd get a 5 seed. We all thought we'd be facing a #3 or #2 in our second game. Louisville was maybe the worst of our options, but we can do this. We beat Louisville by playing the kind of defense we played against SJU on the road.
slufan13
Chance to prove Chris Mack or Coach K wrong with our first game.
billiken class of 15
No one really giving us a chance to beat Louisville should we get there. Maybe that's what this team wants.
Bizziken
A positive is that the LRMC, the most accurate bracket predictor over the past 5 years, has us winning our first round game. Unfortunately, they have Louisville ranked
brianstl
Think way too much respect is being given to Louisville that ran through a crappy AAC tournament not the old Big East tournament. If Memphis beat them twice. We have a chance to beat them once.
Scoop
Absolutely. Louisville is one of a few teams in the country who could easily blow us out. At least they won't play zone.
bills16
I was wrong, game times will be announced later this evening.
SLU_Nick
Haha, I like the optimism. I want Xavier to win really really bad. Warren will have a 40 against us...
hsmith19
Sh*t. That is what I have been telling knuckleheads obsessed with seeding (like hsmith). A # 5 may not be as desirable as a # 6 or even # 7, depending on the luck of the draw. Louisville is ranked # 1 by Vegas by a wide margin. Teams like Mich State, Ok State, Oregon, Pittsburg, Baylor, NC etc. are hot and seeded inappropriately to their current level of play. El Oh El. How have I been obsessed with seeding? The one time in recorded history I agreed with you was when I said the difference between a 5 and a 7 isn't the end of the world. I'm impressed you got your head out of Coach K's @$$ long enough to comment on something else, but you don't know what you're talking about here either. hsmith19
A10 is tough! 6 teams in the tourney......Cool stuff SLU, SJU, VCU, UMass, Dayton, and GW. No crappy play-ins, either. In the real bracket where they belong. And one more team than we got last year total, in spite of all the doom and gloom about the departures. Who is it who says that all the "foo-foo" unbiased metrics don't matter? They clearly matter for getting in the tournament.
slu72
Not to discourage, but in ESPN analysis of all teams, "no one wanted to see UL in their bracket". It's easier being a Bills fan these days, but it's still no walk on the beach.
slufan13
Being doubted just like we were 2 years ago. Maybe that's what this team needs.

RiseAndGrind
Just picked to lose to NC State by ESPN experts Good. This team needs to return to being the underdog.
hsmith19
The losses to Memphis are definitely worth pointing out. They also lost to Cincy at home, and when we peaked in the rankings people considered us equal to or better than Cincy.
SLUMedBilliken15
Just picked to lose to NC State by ESPN experts Would you pick a team to win a game in the tournament that lost 4 out of their last 5 games...
NextYearBill
I got us losing to duke in the elite
pdolwick
SLU alum who grew up in Louisville and now lives near Raleigh. Having seen State and Cards a bunch, not at all impressed w/ NC State, but I think we have maybe 1% chance of beating UL. (Would need to get Harrell in foul trouble hit about 50% from 3 and hope Smith is more diculous than russ.)
