RiseAndGrind
Weixlmann just tweeted something about a new SLU transfer name. It's a paid link, though, so unfortunately I have no real information other than that... Mike shaw from Illinois

SaintLouBlue
Illinois is losing 3 people as Groce tries to get his players in: Mike Shaw 6'8" Forward Soph...played in 14 games, usually only a few minutes a game. Devin Langford 6'7" Guard/Forward RS Frosh...played in 22 games, only played about 4 min a game Ibby Djimde...6'8" Forward/Center Soph. played 11 games 2 min/gm... I know Shaw and Langford came in with some pretty high expectations, but either didn't fit into Groce's plans or didn't live up to expectations. Ibby was kind of a fan favorite and apparently a great student, but sounds like he didn't have big 10 skills. Another random fact is that Illinois is really down to 4 returning guys that will start, one transfer that probably starts, and then all frosh or other transfers on the bench. But until an official report comes out who knows. Some speculation over on the Illinois board that SLU might seek to hire Jamall Walker from Illinois and formerly Ohio as an assistant to Crews, maybe groom him for HC. Thinking there is that Walker would be a strong recruiter in STL and Chicago. Seems to be just speculation, not sourced.
JettFlight5
So if this is true, Shaw would be eligible to play in 14-15, right?

But until an official report comes out who knows. B Wex made it pretty clear in a follow up tweet that we have not received a transfer, just a possible name for a transfer. People should not get too far ahead of themselves on this one.

JMM28
@prepbullseye: Expect these schools to at least inquire on Mike Shaw: Bradley, Illinois St, SIU, St. Louis, Indiana St, Xavier, Dayton, SMU, DePaul.s
Aquinas
I am not sure what SLU major would work for Mike, he is currently majoring in recreation, sport and tourism.
DeSmetBilliken
I am not sure what SLU major would work for Mike, he is currently majoring in recreation, sport and tourism. Normally you take care of core classes in the first year or two, plus if he came to SLU he would have 3 years here, between the 1 year transfer redshirt year and 2 years of eligibility. Probably would give him time to get on track within a SLU major.
