Macallan 18
Look closely at the 4th of July photo that Coach Ford posted. The guy in middle, red Nike shirt (looks like Hasahn French) is in a boot. Anyone know anything about that? Hate to see anyone in a boot!
Old guy
Good pickup, he is in a boot (hard to see). I do not know who he is.
Old guy
Worse, if you keep on looking at the team's pictures posted in Ford's twitter, the same guy had no boot visible in the picture (with a bunch of children) dated 6/24/17, may well be a fresh injury. Coach314
Yeah. I heard 3 SLU guys showed up at a basketball event at Cardinal Ritter this past Sunday. One was in a boot. Didn't hear who tho.
slufan13
Its more common than you would think for players to be in a boot. Usually just precautionary. Still not a good thing though. Hope it's not serious. All practice time is important this off-season.

Usually for a sprained ankle that can be fixed in a week
Zink
Yeah, I remember seeing Willie walking around campus in a boot a few days before a game, and it turned out to be no big deal.
DeSmetBilliken
No biggie...I know people who saw Kwamain Mitchell on crutches a few days before he went for 20+ against Memphis in the NCAA. ?
HoosierPal
"These boots are made for walking, and that's just what I'll do. One of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you." Anyone remember who sang this "Billiken Boot' song? Nice petite platinum blond.

kshoe
In the practice video the team sent out yesterday Hassan French wasn't practicing but he was standing on the sideline with normal shoes.

This is an unwelcome development. Good thing it's only July. Probably like Markelle Fultz, baby sprain = dont walk for 6 weeks as a precaution. Hopefully that is what it is. You got a report he dominated in practice yesterday? the timeline as it seems to me: - French was practicing and doing well per reports from early summer. - July 4th picture at fords house shows him in a boot. - July 10th video from practice shows him in shoes but not actively practicing. Doesnt seem that bad to me but what do I know.

Henriquez can really shoot it. I was impressed with French's aggressiveness. He is relentless attacking the basket. Goodwin looked a little rusty. But i am not worried about him...i know what he can do. Nice building blocks ?

I can't post the video that was on the SLU men's basketball twitter feed but if someone else can that would be great. It sure looks like French at the 35-45 second mark in shoes not really practicing, but also not in a boot. Maybe he practiced later or maybe 314 mistook foreman for French. TFord and TRavs
French was taking it easy. Probably just a twisted ankle sprain. Not a huge deal. It's summer and the team takes every precaution. Johnson looked great in that video

bauman
After re-watching a few Twitter feeds on SLU's practices, I suggest that this Board take up a collection to help the Athletic Dept pay for the numerous rims and backboards that French will destroy in his time at SLU
