Jeremiah Robinson Earl, is an example of the often talked about jump from year 1 to year 2. He had 28 for Villanova in a win over Arizona St. Many NBA Villanova alums and most are not of the one and done type. Lots of talented players there and lots of player development too.

Watched that game. Jay Wright has turned Villanova into the premier college basketball program imo. They seem to replenish the roster with great players every year and they always seem to play smart and under control.

Alonzo Verge Jr looked pretty decent for arizona state.

Yep. Josh Christopher is also a player to watch for ASU.

Two days after losing their opener against UMass Lowell, San Francisco pulls off the one-point upset against #4 Virginia.  November Madness!

that was cool one to watch. as always watching 4 screens, rocking out, not listening or paying attention to much more than the score so dumb ? is Brad still with Virginia?

Ohio U has a point guard named Jason Preston that was 6'0 140 lb and averaged 2.6 ppg his senior year of high school.  Enrolled in prep school, grew 4 inches and added 30 lb by the time he arrived at Ohio.  Put on another 20 lb in college and now he's emerged as a 6'4 190 lb NBA prospect.  Dropped 31 pts, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and no turnovers in two point loss against the Illini.  Gotta love growth spurts.

Gonzaga beats Auburn today, and started the game knowing that one staff member and one player had tested positive for COVID.  Two players were not on the bench today for the Bulldogs.  It was also established that all Gonzaga team and staff members helped Coach Few celebrate his 600th career victory in a crowded locker room yesterday.

Is this a concern for anyone?

What are the rules?

Are we playing Gonzaga? No. If the whole Gonzaga team turns positive and misses a number of games who do they have to put the blame on? Themselves maybe, would you think? This may affect some of the teams that play against Gonzaga as well. Maybe other teams will start doing the same thing as well.

Perhaps you should not ask about the rules but about who enforces the rules. Rules with no enforcement are garbage, not rules.

I don't think there are any hard and fast rules, only guidelines which programs can stretch to fit whatever it is they want. Clemson football allowed a symptomatic player to practice all week then their coach had the nerve to get hissy when the opponent called the game off due to safety concerns.

All season long, programs are going to have to assess not only their team's health but the likely health of their opponent based on whatever information they get their hands on regarding the opponents adherence to standards, protocols. etc.

Preston and Ayo going at each other was fun to watch.  Two great point guards.  It will be hard for any other game this year to match the pg play we got today in that game.

VCU with a nice win over Memphis

Bones and Vince Williams had nice tourneys in Sioux Falls.  Last season Williams hit 6 of 30 behind the arc.  This season he is already 6 of 13.  Looks like he put in some work over the off season.  The Rams play at Penn State next.
