  1. Was at the game last night, quick thoughts: 1. It was a lot of fun watching JGood go head to head with Kyrie and KD. The fact that he can effectively guard multiple positions bodes well for his NBA career. 2. If JGood develops a consistent jump shot he'll be in the league for 10 years, he does pretty much everything else well and brings a lot of intangibles. 3. Kyrie and KD are ridiculously talented and skilled, just on a completely different level, in person you can really see just how effortless they make the game look especially given how much the Wizards struggled on offense without Beal and Porzingis. 2. I feel even better knowing that Love wanted to go to Duke but after K offered Roach and he committed Love chose UNC. https://deadspin.com/caleb-love-was-the-villain-coach-k-and-duke-deserved-1848743567
  3. Unfortunately it's too late, that genie is never going back in the bottle. If the NCAA had taken a slightly more lenient approach over the years with regard to transfers and among other things NOT allowed coaches to dictate where a player could transfer, then the transfer portal as we now know it would not exist.
  4. Yeah, I thought Schmidt made a good move in the 1st half, playing Osunniyi and Coulibaly together, it was effective and took some of the pressure off of Osun but of course Schmidt couldn't help himself and made no substitutions in the second half.
  5. Bona put up a good fight, but no question the better team won.
  6. Good analogy. I check my portfolio every day and yeah pretty much leaves me pissed every day.
  7. I don't know what the thought process or expectations are for the NBA draft are here, but he is absolutely good enough to play overseas right now.
  8. The bye-bye waves were hilarious. Great block by Osun, another good postseason win for the A10.
  9. It's all speculation, but no, I don't think a team would spent a draft pick on a player coming back from injury who hasn't had a chance to show that they're healthy. However, NBA scouts had a grade on Javonte coming into this season and it's safe to assume that grade did not change based on the injury so a FA deal could be a possibility. If for example a team had him as a developmental player who needs 2 years in the G-League why wouldn't that still be the case?
  10. I liked Howard but not surprised, you can't keep losing your best player(s) to transfer and being non-relevant in the conference year after year. Langel would be an interesting hire, he has done a very good job at Colgate, his teams have been like Davidson, shooters all over the place, bigs that can shoot and handle.
  11. Auburn as a team does incredibly undisciplined stupid stuff on a regular basis on offense and defense
  12. Yep, Huffman stripped that ball clean, terrible call
  13. Tough loss for Chat but they did have a half dozen chances to win the game but had a series of turnovers, missed free throws and bad offensive possessions did them in.
  14. Hard to say he obviously has some talent and some skill and coming out of Victory Rock Prep he had offers from: Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Loyola-Marymount, and New Mexico State but apparently the biggest question about him was motor so that may explain why he didn't play much at SLU.
  15. Agee, the OOC schedule was fine but you've got to cash in by beating UAB and Belmont at home and then getting either Memphis or Auburn, I think that gets you into the top 35ish before conference play.
  16. And DOWN goes the Mountain West!!! Mountain West : 4 Teams 0 Wins Atlantic 10: 2 Teams 1 Win (at least) Dear Selection Committee, please take note of this for future reference so we don't end up with 4 MW teams and 2 A10 teams again and you don't look like fools when teams from your favored conference win no games. Thank you.
  17. I agree that most teams do not. The only team that comes to mind is Davidson as their system does not put a super heavy load on the PG. Does their offense really look different when Huffman rather than Loyer is in the game? For most other teams, yeah there is a significant drop off.
  18. UNI is really aggressive and physical on D, they're contesting every pass, dribble and cut.
  19. Just read the article, for those who couldn't be bothered here is the most salient part of the entire piece: "Saint Louis University’s athletic department did not immediately reply to The Post’s request for comment." As well they shouldn't, if Nesbitt behaved as the cheerleader alleges then he certainly acted impolitely but not in a way that warrants a newspaper story days later nor any kind of punishment from the A10.
