There are a lot of sham programs out there, glorified basketball programs occupying shell charter schools using names that attempt to sound prestigious. The Skill Factory has virtually nothing about the academic program on its website. I hope they're getting a decent education there but truly have no idea. I'm guessing they take online courses to fulfill credit hours and have other courses designed for standardized tests.

thetorch
Skill Factory farms out most of its academics. Courses are online and they also contract an outside firm to not only evaluate their academics but also to assist with making sure their students are college eligible, not just D-1 but any level. The firm is run by former NCAA employees.

thetorch
Billy Richmond Sr is a restaurateur now. Quite a success story, top 100 recruit, but had troubles at zVandy and Memphis resulting in Calipari kicking him off the team. He's become pretty prominent in Memphis with his wing shops. I've eaten at them the last two times I went down there. He played against SLU in Perry's senior year. He was terrible in the game and SLU snapped a 5 game losing streak. It was right before we beat Louisville and went on the 8 game streak.

Latest News: Marshall received an offer from SLU. (11/1/22) Scouting Report: Marshall is a massive frontcourt player who dominates the paint. He has soft touch but dunks everything he can. He's developed into an excellent passer because he gets double teamed so frequently. Defensively, he's a space eater with good length who blocks and alters shots. He shows good footwork at both ends of the floor. With his size, strength, and good hands, he's hard to stop. Rankings: Rivals - 46, 247Sports - 48, 247Sports Composite - 88, On3 - 101, On3 Consensus - 72. -SLU is late in the pool for this one, but he's originally from STL and his grandma tweeted at him to come back home, so I guess anything is possible. He recently took official visits Penn State, Mizzou, and Auburn. Some scouts seem to think Auburn is the favorite currently.

cgeldmacher
Love the picture he chose for his tweet. If he thinks he wants to go to Auburn, can we get him to wait few more weeks and then the winner of the game on the 27th gets him?
