Pistol
Per the twitters. Jeff Goodman said he will be a head coach and that its just a matter of time... Such a loss for our program when he left. Hopefully he's a HC here before long. Wishing him all the best.
Billfan78
Does it seem as though he leaves at first sign of trouble? Left SLU when Majerus' was sick and now leaves Nebraska when they have a terrible season and many of their top players are leaving.
Basketbill
would be a good team to get another home and home with.

The great thing about being highly thought of as a recruiter in the basketball biz is you can move to a better position when the ship is clearly sinking. This is a brutal business. Last year Tim Miles was an up comer in the Big 12. After next year he'll be looking for a job. Meanwhile, the last assistant on his original coaching staff will be getting groomed for a head coaching position. Ouch.
Pistol
No. He leaves when he gets offered a significant promotion. This. He has a kid who's battled leukemia for years (currently showing no signs as of this past January; he remains in remission). Bigger paychecks are more crucial for the Harrimans than for most. They also need areas with top-notch children's medical facilities, so decisions to move are not taken lightly. https://www.facebook.com/AveryStrong100

Reminds me of Chris Lowery at Carbondale when he was HC... he has a special needs child and was telling people at a Bradley Chiefs Club outing that he and his wife drove to STL twice a week from Carbondale for medical treatment. I'm not sure if Manhattan, KS has the same advanced treatment facilities, but there are several coaches around the country that make decisions like this based on their family situation. It's sad and very unfortunate, but it says a lot about their character putting family first before career (in some instances).
FromDaEastSide
Chris Harriman made $236,146 this past season, the two other assistants made $236,568 - Kenya Hunter and $237,182 - Jim Molinari. I think in the past Chris was considered the top paid assistant at Nebraska. Lamont Smith was the previous associate coach at New Mexico - he just took the job at San Diego, his alma mater was making $253,750 this past season. Lamont was a graduate assistant under Romar at SLU between 1999-2001 and left with Randy Bennett to Saint Marys. http://nebraska.edu/docs/budget/personnel-roster-2014-15.pdf http://www.abqjournal.com/562962/sports/university-of-san-diego-hires-top-lobo-assistant-lamont-smith.html
BLIKNS
I would expect to see some Aussies signing with the Lobos. Already have a history with getting players from down under
ACE
When RM hired Harriman I thought it might be a bit of a gimmick hire for recruiting connections. But I became very impressed with Harriman after hearing him on the radio a few times and now it is apparent he is an assistant in demand. I would think he could eventually get his shot at being a head coach. Being the only Australian D1 head coach would be unique and offer some recruiting advantages. Plus he seems to be respected as an x's and o's guy.

hsmith19
Harriman played at Augusta State in the great state of Georgia, so he is the product of not one but two penal colonies.
