  1. Please stop. Also, please fix your profile pic. Thanks
  2. For all the crap he took for not being plugged in, Stu actually got the scoop. Tip of the hat to him.
  3. Billikenswin, who else was interviewed?
  4. What blunders other than this mess? I am not in the loop.
  5. I didnt make anything up. I was asking for clarification of your remark.
  6. Are you saying that they were going to wait to announce the hire until a later date? Like after the NIT wrapped up to make it seem as though Drew was a real possibility.
  7. I will support the team. I think this is a bad selection from a PR standpoint. We just had a coach who demoralized the fanbase and now we hire a guy who did the same to his fans (see twitter reaction from OSU people if you doubt me). Why not hire an up and coming coach and/or assistant who came from a winning program? It would give fans hope.
  8. Doesn't Billikenswin = Billikan? I apologize to both parties if I am incorrect but the tenor of posts is similar.
  9. Wiz, so are your sources telling you that Ford is definitely our new coach?
  10. Wiz, did someone tell you this or is it your own intuition?
  11. But that is the problem with hiring Ford. We will have to wait and see - much like many us of said after the 2014-15 season with Crews. Hiring of a new coach usually brings about the feeling of a new start, fresh potential and a sense of optimism and euphoria for the next season. We get none of this with Ford - he was just fired from a job and lambasted by his fan base pretty much the same way we lambasted Crews - nice guy but terrible coach.
  12. We are a laughingstock.. Joe Lunardi follows Jeff (BPredict) ‏@BPredict 3m3 minutes ago I know that Travis Ford is a national punchline, but considering where Saint Louis is as a program, that's a solid hire. 0 retweets0 likes Reply Retweet Like More airfarewatchdog follows Martin Luther Bling ‏@twicetheMF 3m3 minutes ago Travis Ford lit a flaming turd on Oklahoma State's doorstep and somehow got someone to sign up for the same treatment within a week 0 retweets0 likes Reply Retweet Like More In reply to Jerry Meyer Greg ‏@GregNJ 3m3 minutes ago @jerrymeyer247 how does same school that hired the brilliant Majerus hire the putz Travis Ford?
  13. Has the rumor of Rodney Terry from Fresno State been quashed? Davell Roby randomly following him on twitter seems like a pretty big clue. You would think he is privy to AD information.
  14. A big raise from Valpo or a new job perhaps...
  15. This place will meltdown in disappointment if it is Dooley.
  16. Per Hoopdirt.com (Nothing really new) On Monday, I mentioned FGCU head coach Joe Dooley and Vanderbilt head coach Kevin Stallings and their involvement at St. Louis (Daily Dirt – 3/21/16). The “hot” name here now is Valparaiso head coach Bryce Drew. His team had a big win last night in the NIT, and he’s now one win away from 30 on the season. The former Valpo star and NBA player is currently 123-48 in his 5-years as the head coach of his alma mater. More on this one as I hear it.Speaking of St. Louis…former Alabama head coach and current Oklahoma City Thunder assistant Anthony Grant’s name has also come up here. BUT, his name has been even stronger at Tulane. In addition to his six seasons at Alabama (118-86), Grant spent three seasons as the head coach at VCU (76-25). It depends who you talk to, but is sounds like Tulane and their search firm Eastman and Beaudine, have a top 2 or 3, and Grant could be in that group. Other names mentioned here: Purdue assistant Greg Gary (a Tulane alum) and Yale head coach James Jones. Apparently CBS Sports’ Doug Gottlieb has expressed some interest as well.
  17. Valpo plays in a high schoolesque gym - much like Tom Gola. I believe ductwork is visible, pull out wooden bleachers and a snack stand inside the gym. The facilities difference between SLU and Valpo is night and day.
  18. Around the time Jensen left, I remember reading on here that he quit in part because he did not like the recruiting grind. Is there any reason to even think he would be interested in being the head coach other than people remember that he coached here for a few years? Also, remember this is a guy who quit on Majerus and a good team about 1 month before the season started and that is how we ended up with JC.
  19. I was going to ask the same thing. What is the source of that rumor? Link please.
  20. We would have to offer major $$$ and his team was 16-18 this year. He makes $2,000,080.00 per year. http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/mens-basketball/raise-pushes-miles-salary-past-million/article_df36b98b-ef9e-5861-908b-fd58411828f8.html
  21. Steph Curry has 187.5 this year. Hield is pretty good.
