(BTW, @SluSignGuy, the search function doesn't seem to be working. I don't have a time restraint on it and it's only finding very recent hits. To find that link above, I initially searched "rushmore" and got nothing. I made sure my search settings were correct, too.)

It was a joke. Just bringing the Bills.com traditions from the mens threads to the ladies. If they don't sign with us … we must have quit recruiting them and they're a tool

Interesting to me that several people have mentioned Jett. I believe Evans was the more important 4 year player on that team. Not a knock on Jett just believe Evans had a better career.

All - understanding that what occured last season was undoubtedly unfortunate, can we please put it behind us? There is tons of buzz and excitement around our program entering next season, and the curses of last season are still continuing to intoxicate any message that is posted on this board.
While I understand it was unfortunate and it put players in a tough, even undeserving spot, everytime positive news is shared it somehow gets overshadowed by the “situation”.  What does this say about SLU basketball to those that are potential recruits, new fans, local community members, when they come to look at this board?
For the good of the team, players, community, can we please make a conscious effort to move on?

S2 has been a major setback in recruiting. Jacobs is a great get, but it is a major example that we have to put major resources still into the 2018 class.  Last year at this time we were done with the major part of the 2017 class and already had two commits for the 2018 class.  Right now are still in the starting block when it comes to 2019 instead of being ahead of the pack.
So S2 is really hurting our recruiting, instead of being able to put a full court press on Liddell right now the staff has to spend time at Chipola and John A. Logan games. Plus, they have had to go to Webster to make sure their top recruit doesn’t get scared away.

The problem with banning him is that he just comes back under another name.  IP bans didn’t stop him at stltoday.com.

Sorry, I honestly forgot people interpreted caps as yelling. Sorry to offend you. And yell at you.
Short of searching for his IP and exposing him, banning him won't even solve the issue. He'll just come back as someone else. It's pretty simple: just don't respond to his posts. All he wants is attention. He probably doesn't believe 99.99% of the BS that he types but he knows it will get a reaction. No more responses, no more Tilk. Once he reappears under a new alias, (it's pretty easy to spot his writing style) ignore Tilk v2.
I'm sure he's all excited this conversation is taking place. Now....let's get back to what we do best: dissecting fourth-hand information regarding S2!

Alright so to finish my McDonald’s chronicles. I just picked up my cards today in creve couer and I got 52 extra value meal cards, gets me a sandwich, medium fry, and drink at like 15 McDonalds in the Stl area. I can pick up the next 52 anytime in 2019 and continue with that trend right when the calendar year starts. And the cards never expire so when I’m 80 I’ll have a bunch left over

Seems to me that the best idea is to discuss the potential impact on the team and not delve into social issues at large.

Thicks is right in one respect. I'm now convinced the local high school fans are more annoying than the Mizzou fans.
  24. SluSignGuy liked a post in a topic by slufanskip in Off topic: Moderation
I wasn't suggesting you moderate it. Just making note that the reason a few older posters left had little or nothing to do with trolls but with the tone that seemed to be taking over the board for a period of time. For example we had one poster who was clearly close to the team and had inside info but was so overly positive SLU he got constantly attacked instead of people just taking his info and being appreciative of it while realizing where he came from. I believe Alumni was more about the tone and attacking nature of some posters than it was trolls and jbizzle much the same.
We used to have get togethers once in a while and posters got to know one another. I'd suggest another big  Billikens.com bash before or after a game. Once you've met and know someone you're less likely to make things personal. In addition when you know someone you're more likely to be ok with a little sarcastic dig or jab at you from them. Just a thought.

So I'll get my 2 cents in. The question is really how do you decide who's a troll and who isn't? I don't think anyone disagrees that a legitimate troll shouldn't get the boot and Steve has booted some even as lightly as he moderates. It also seems that many of the other boards (Mizzou's included) ban you pretty quickly for an anti their school agenda. I'm a long long time poster and I know quite a few who have left but the ones I know haven't left over the Mizzou fans or an anti SLU agenda. When RM became coach and we started having success we got what seemed to be many more younger posters who attacked people with good info and they just kinda got tired of it and left. I think the moderators do a very good job. I'd probably be slightly less tolerant but that's just my opinion, it doesn't make it the right way. If posters could actually control themselves and not respond to trolls they'll go away. Do we actually need more board moderation or a little more self discipline in ignoring the trolls?
