At the mid-major level, there's two major categories of players that you have to take a long-term approach with: The largely one-dimensional guy who is dynamite in that one dimension, e.g. Gibson Jimerson. The guy who does multiple things well but hasn't demonstrated reliable long-distance shooting, e.g. Fred Thatch If you recruit enough of these guys, eventually one of them will add the missing element and you've got an all-conference player.

CG posted something on his own Instagram about it, so it sure seems like it happened. The reality of the situation is that there won't be news coverage of a shooting unless the person is really well known or unless someone dies.

I don't view the addition of Forte as some type of strategic decision to prioritize recruiting in Texas - Ford himself already built plenty of connections in that area from his time at Okie State. I see this more of a situation where he views Forte as an up and coming assistant. Obviously he has had a long relationship with him and is someone that he feels comfortable working with. I think that won the day as opposed to trying to make some recruiting inroads in Texas.

If a four-star recruit from a nationally recognized high school program with a history of putting players in the NBA needs to transfer just to prepare himself for high major basketball, all St. Louis high school programs should just shut down right now.

Yeah, in my mind, I already wasn't bullish at all about our chances but this makes it to where we are a non-starter. He wants to play for as big of a name as possible.

I try to paraphrase what I read/see. I udpate and edit those as I see more. I think if you watch a little video on the guy, you'd be comfortable with the offer. He does a lot of things.

I'd like to see us put Bradley on the sched every year. Back in the day, they were out big rival in the MVC. Plus they don't play in a plane hanger any longer with that raised floor.

If he really was shot, I don’t care what terms he left on, it’s nothing to celebrate. Some things are more important than F-ing college basketball fandom. Grow up!
