  1. Corey Frazier would be a great addition to the SLU bench. The guy is a player development specialist. Top local players flock to him to get better. As one of the coaches for BBE I’m sure he’s made tons of contacts with top club coaches across the country, which should give him a leg up in recruiting. He checks all the boxes in my mind.

  2. According to the video, he is 6' tall with a size 14 shoe and projected to be 7 ft. Nice job by Frank Cusumano on the interview.

  3. Patrick, a 16-year-old striker, is in his first year with the Minnesota United academy after playing for Wayzata High School. With 20 goals and 15 assists in 2017, he led the Trojans to the Class AA championship, and he captured the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year Award. He’s now living in Maple Grove.

  4. Huge new recruit for Billiken men's soccer--Patrick Weah of the class of 2020--was a high school All American and has big time experience and success as a goal scorer and assist man. Kevin beat out some of the biggest programs in the country for this incredible young player.

  5. The answers are no, no room as far as we know currently, and no, Mac is not considering SLU....he announced his list within the hour. He's a tool anyway.

  7. i don't think one strategy fits all of the end game situations. If its close, are we leading or trailing? Are we able to score inside or outside? Are they able to score inside or outside? What is the foul condition of players on each team? How much time is on the clock? How many time outs does each team have. How many fouls does each team have? What players are in foul trouble? The math on fouling a 35% free throw shooter is very attractive, especially before the double bonus. It can easily result in 3 offensive trips, one point and little time off of the clock. Even in double bonus its 2 points in 3 trips. Teams generally only intentionally foul when they are trailing. It takes guts to have even a small lead, foul the trailing opponent, stop the clock and risk the 35% shooter making both shots. End game strategy is why you have a coach and hopefully a bench. Ford is in much better position this season than any other in regard to quality players with varied skills.

  8. Big Mel was a legit 7 feet in shoes. Husak didn't need shoes to be 7 feet. Husak grew while at SLU. He was at the very least 7'2 and maybe taller. Tallest Billiken player.

  9. With a deeper team, and a deeper front court, I see no reason for French to play more than 32 mpg. Take him out from the 12 minute time out to the 10 minute mark. And find two more minutes around single bonus time. Ditto for the 2nd half, but if the game involves a small Billiken lead, go with either Bell or Linßen to avoid the hack-a-French. We saw it a little bit last year with Bell.

  11. I think opposing coaches have done us a major favor in not using the hack a French more. They were very late to adopting the strategy. It's just math. I think we we see it from day one this year and only hope French sees a shooting doctor and sports shrink.

  12. Corey Frazier was just one Frank's show to talk about finally getting his degree from SLU and the Bradley Beal Elite. Frank asked him about Kern and Nesbitt specifically. I'm paraphrasing, but Corey said that Kern is pretty much just being recruited by in-state schools at this point and he hopes that he gets a season where he can show people what he can really do with Fletcher and last year's seniors gone. He said that Nesbitt is a special player. He's a big guard who plays relentless defense and rebounds. He has a body like Goodwin, except he's taller and better with the ball. He said SLU has done a great job recruiting him and is one of Nesbitt's top teams.

  13. Guys if you haven’t checked out the interview with Paul Biancardi please do! There’s a great Paul Eckerle story in there but getting Biancardi’s perspective was just a whole other dynamic to add to what we’ve heard from players.

  14. If a fan outside of the A10 seems fordham or LaSalle, then I see your point in that im sure it down plays his level of skill. But when a player sees interest from a St Joes or bonnies, most fans know what that means as far as skill, If those fans see Dayton, VCU etc they think hes legit. Which brings up a good point, fans who dont follow the league probably think VCU is still good elite, and dont realize where vcu finished this year and is headed for next year. Winning games in march is a POWERFUL thing years after.
