C- beats B-...not a major upset ...not as good as the Mich St (A) win (a true upset) but still a very nice win. Tex Sou will probably move up to C tomorrow.. Stony Brook ( B- ) is the class of the America East conference and will probably be the team that will keep Vermont from winning the title. Washington is a good team ( A- ) but overated at 13th ( I didn't have them rated even as a Top 25 team) ....So we have a B- team beating an A- team ....a good win ...maybe I would call this game and the Tex Sou/KSU games minor upsets because they both won away. Not only that but Richmond was up 4 with 40.1 and Wake hits a three at 32 to cut it to one. Richmond scores on a breakaway dunk off the inbounds to go up three, but Wake has a 15% three point shooter fire up a top of the key of the triple and he banks it in for the tie. Richmond misses a runner in the lane and Wake rebounds. The same player who made the banked three, fires up an off balance shot that's not going to go in and their big just follows the flight and guides it right over the rim for the win. It's a good thing the Bills didn't schedule UMES....bad combo....a team with bad grades...if you beat them ...little or no effect...if you lose ...devastating. UMES rated D plays in the second worst conference (2nd only to Tex Sou's ...Southwestern conf) UMES is not going anywhere this year. NC Cent ( B- ) will win their conf (they have already beaten UMES) So let's look at the UMES scoreboard results Ford ( D- ) @ Ford loses by 6 St. B (B- ) @ St B loses by 2 Duq (D) @ Duq loses by 9 And let's not forget NCAT ( F- ) @ UMES loses by 11 ( compared to our 3 pt win over NCAT) Bottomline...their only good win was St. B and as I said above...glad we didn't play them. This time ok state fouled with 3 secs to go. After mizzou made they first, they missed the second, got the rebound, passed to a pf for a wide open layup and he missed it. Crazy game. Crews will coach till he's 75. I certainly hope we are kidding about Porter. He was 32-61 going into this season. For all the pissing and moaning about our program this year, people want him to even be considered? Porter is one heck of a guy, but if we want to be Xavier or Gonzaga we have to shoot higher than that. I understand Loyola is not SLU, but I can only imagine how our fans would react if we went three straight seasons with horrible losing seasons.
