It's comically embarassing. I can't remember where I was saying this recently, but talking to a few other fellow SLU/Chaminade alums and having seen Lewis in HS, I can see why he was overlooked. He was really an undersized SG all along, a guy who could hit open threes and was clutch, but didn't show much else. When you play with Jayson Tatum and Tyler Cook and Will Gladson and some future D-I underclassmen, I guess it's hard not to look limited, or at least like a specialist. Anyway, Lewis did grow an inch or two his senior year, and he added a ton to his frame in the past two years. He's really learned how to defend, as well. In short, he was a late bloomer. I fault Crews for so, so much, but I'm not sure any other SLU coach would've offered him, either.

slufan13
Smith was shooting 18% from 3 this season and was 2-19 in A10 play. 2-2 tonight

Fans want the coach to be all over the best underclassmen and still get upset when a guy blooms late after all the scholarships are filled. You can't have it both ways. Pistol
Welmer having a nice half, keeping us in it. 59-54 Duquesne after a Johnson 3. We were down 5, then down 18, now down 5 again.
