Wait a min who was talking on Welmer?

I was down on him he has had a tough stretch and it is nice to seem him dominate with 2 3's and 2 jams, very good.

Not to top 25 teams, and if so, maybe 1 to a large class. Not the entire recruiting class

Obviously, it's generally better to sign higher ranked recruits than lower ranked recruits. Still, great teams can be made of players not highly ranked. Take the good teams SLU had from 2011-2014. They went to 3 straight NCAA tournaments and spent time in the top 25, even the top 10.

Here are the Class of 2010 rankings:  http://247sports.com/Season/2010-Basketball/CompositeRecruitRankings?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool

You'll see that there's 1 SLU recruit in that list: Jordair Jett at 243. That means Dwayne Evans and Mike McCall weren't in there. Those guys turned out to be pretty good, in spite of having the scarlet letter of being outside the top 250. Not sure where Rob Loe would have been, as he was an international recruit and not in the rankings.

Here are the Class of 2008 rankings: http://247sports.com/Season/2008-Basketball/CompositeRecruitRankings?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool

You'll see that the only SLU recruit on that list is Kwamain Mitchell at 180. This leaves out Brian Conklin, who was the leading scorer on an NCAA tournament team in 2012. It also leaves out Willie Reed, who never featured on an NCAA tournament team for SLU, but he's doing OK for himself now in the NBA.

He was something like 3 for his last 20 when I posted that, but of course the Hoosier didn't challenge the statement at the time...

Not sure why some folks cannot just enjoy Elliot playing well finally last game Elliot played well.

You should make a list of the top 100 recruits we had within 30 miles during that time

Does it really count if you lose all your games to top teams but win against poor ones yet still get ranked? Easily the most overrated team. If they're so good they can move out of the Missouri Valley

So their trip to the final four with lower ranked recruits than they have today didn't count?
