  1. I tried to send a screenshot, but I’m at my attachment limit. Basically said Ford has done a fantastic job of recruiting Nesbitt and Nesbitt is a kid who wants to stay close to home. “Numerous sources” have told Snow that SLU is the clear leader and he has “high confidence” that Nesbitt will choose SLU.

  2. thanks @majerus mojo, I’m horrible at the interwebs, I didn’t know I could do that. This is from Snow’s write-up for his Crystal Ball prediction on Nesbitt. The generic first paragraph is cutoff, but all the relevant info is there.

  4. Brian Snow is very selective in making predictions, and generally only makes them when he’s certain on the outcome. He is 250 for 265 all time on crystal ball predictions.

  6. The real question is whether he can dunk over a trash can. I won’t believe he can until I see video evidence of it on YouTube. The ball’s in your court Mr. Nesbitt. Time to earn that scholarship offer.

  7. That's a cool fact so I decided to look up all time attendance records (Link). Out of the top 10 attended NCAA soccer games in history, only 2 of them were not from a NCAA semi-final or final match. Those two are the #1 attended SLU/SIUE game at Busch that you mentioned (1980), and #7... also SLU vs SIUE at Busch (1973). In addition, 5 of those top 10 matches were NCAA semi-final double headers, so higher attendance was due to there being 4 different teams playing.

  9. I totally forgot about that Ohio State game. I’ve been thinking they were undefeated for years...and I was at that Final Four. But I was living in Lindell Towers and rarely sober back then lol.

  10. St. Louis is maybe the biggest soccer market in the country. It’s had huge crowds for both men’s and women’s National Team games. The highest attended college soccer game in the NCAA history was SLU vs SIUE at Busch Stadium. There’s a reason why MLS has always wanted to be in STL. They just need the right ownership. The fans are already here. Now St. Louis City SC just has to not F it up.

  13. I don’t care obviously, but I was kind of surprised how little attention Illinois basketball received locally this past winter. They were playing really well. A Billiken/Illini game as the varsity matchup with Mizzou/SIU as the junior varsity matchup would be fun this winter.

  14. Has it really been since 2013 that Illini made the tournament...pathetic. Has anyone done less with talent than them?
