I would be interested in comparison from the Wiz. From what I can gather, his defense is pretty well regarded. At first glance his numbers seem pretty similar to Roddie - neither with a great 3%; Johnson with a better overall FG% and FT% Each 6-3, but Johnson 15lbs heavier. Seems like perhaps a slight upgrade over Roddie. Started 26 games for a Big 12 team, so he should be battle-tested.

Which? Visiting or committing?

Incoming as in visiting or talking... or incoming as in committing?

Fletcher to Xavier. I'm not going to cry over this one...

I'm not saying I believe that he'll be a lifer here, that's not the part that caught my attention as that was normal coachspeak... but I really do believe the fact that under the old rules, it would have been more difficult for 3 of his 5 starters to transfer absolutely played a role and made leaving now a lot easier, as opposed to waiting one more year. It was an interesting factor that I hadn't previously considered.

That's you, but it's not him. He says he doesn't view himself as a job hopper. He wants to be in situations where he can have success on the court.
-
He is saying that he likely would have stayed one more year knowing that he had a team returning that had just won more than 30 games. The offers would NOT have been coming in for Kent, Conwell and Swope if they were not allowed to have a second free transfer. It makes sense to me that he would figure it would be better off to stay for one more year and then cash in.
-
His comments about NIL and transfer rules were very interesting. He thinks there needs to be regulation with NIL - it is not at all playing out as NIL was intended. Also, he said that allowing the two-time transfers to sit out a year was a big reason he left ISU - because it opened up the possibility of players who had already transferred once - Kent, Swope and Conwell - to easily leave again. He thinks if that change wasn't made, he likely would still be at ISU.

So the guy who created the infamous Yuri to K-State thread with no source or link is delivering this bit of advice?

I'd like to see a comparison of transferring "up & down" in the pre-NIL/free agency era v. today. My sense is that it is benefiting the P6 even more now than it did previously. The gap is growing, IMO.

Maybe you can carry out your fantasy of "spanking" other gentlemen that you have expressed recently.

I supported the coach? It was time for Ford to go and I said so. I simply called out some of the more extreme, ridiculous rewriting of history criticisms. It wasn't necessary. There was plenty of legit criticism to be had. I figured the powers that be would take care of it and that's exactly what happened. No need to get whipped into a frenzy with an impotent grassroots movement. It appears you are still stinging from theOne scolding you for suggesting Ahearn was the leading candidate back in February.
