French's numbers aren't eye-popping (8.2 points, 6.8 rebounds) but he is averaging 2.4 blocks per game in just 27 minutes, or one block per 11 minutes played. His blocked shots average ranks seventh among all freshmen nationally and first among mid-major freshmen.
