DeSmetBilliken
You know, if SLU waits this long and ends up getting rejected by Drew, we're going to look like we have the dumbest AD/administration in the country.

May will be fired if he botches this hire. Chaifetz will make sure of that.
CBFan
Looks like another 48 hours and another 25 pages of posts.... Too funny, I was pulling for Valpo I can wait. How many more pages after the coach is announced, could it be a record?
billikenfan05
I do think Drew winning an NIT is actually best case scenario

Schasz
I suppose this means Volfan's Asst. has a chance to be hired prior to the tip of Valpo's NIT Championship game on Thursday???

HoosierBilliken
I do think Drew winning an NIT is actually best case scenario If May brings in Drew after Drew wins the NIT, May-haters will have to apologize.
slufan13
Doesn't Valpo have almost their whole team back? If they win the NIT, he may want to take a shot at doing some damage in the NCAA with that core group

cheeseman
Whatever can go wrong will go wrong if you are a Billiken fan. Who ever coined the phrase "It is hard to be a Billiken fan" was right.

Bay Area Billiken
What happens if Drew doesn't come and Rice says no? As Ms. Blue said on the old Jack Carney Show on KMOX, "All is well. All is well." We will be ok when this finally ends, one way, or the other, or the other, or the other ...

Schasz
OK The Wiz surely Valpo will be favored in the Final.
billikenfan05
We're forgetting that Valpo still would have to win their tournament to make the NCAA's that's gotta weigh on Drew...
Bay Area Billiken
As long as they get the right HC who cares??? In the long run, it probably does not matter. In the short run, it would be nice for the new coach, be he the one behind Door #1, Door #2, Door #3, the Curtain, or even in the Box (let's hope he's too big for the Box) to assemble a coaching staff, as in at the Final 4 Job Fair, and to make up for lost time re recruiting. Bay Area Billiken
We're forgetting that Valpo still would have to win their tournament to make the NCAA's that's gotta weigh on Drew... That is the $1.67M minimum difference between Valpo in the Mid-Major, Juan Bid Horizon League, and a SLU in the A10 ...
Dwayne's_World
Ingelsby, Capel, Crutchfield and others. May will push for Dooley. Because "head coaching experience." Smh
brianstl
Doesn't Valpo have almost their whole team back? I think that actually is important to Drew.
slufan13
After St Bonnie's snub this year, I'm not sure that's as big of a selling point as years past. Hopefully we know by Friday but coming off either a NIT championship or runner-up, I could see Drew wanting to soak it in for a couple days
