RUBillsFan
Five Women’s Basketball Student-Athletes Sign With Billikens; Class Ranked 45th Nationally Pretty impressive given how awful the WBB program has been for years. Coach Stone seems to have them headed in the right direction. Adding the girls in this class to the current group of freshman which includes Erin Nelson who just won A-10 rookie of the week and others who are currently starting should produce some really solid teams within the next couple of years. I agree. I have had several opportunities to talk to Lisa and she is building things the right way with quality young players. We will play hard this year and we will be better next year. Billikenswin
-does this mean we will eventually be able to beat UMSL? Is this crap really necessary? This coach and her staff are working very hard to build a new program and they don't need sarcastic posts like this.

cheeseman
They lost to a D2 school. Are we supposed to ignore that fact? No but we should not ignore that they took Missouri to basically a tie for 35 minutes before running out of gas and defeating a D1 school Valpo. Just take the entire picture into account not just one piece is what I think some are saying.

Looks like she got 2 players from her own high school alma mater - see how one won the Lisa Stone Award
Billikenswin
Looks like she got 2 players from her own high school alma mater - see how one won the Lisa Stone Award That is a nice development. Lisa was a great player in her own right and she has stories about how she connected with Rick M--he actually sent her a hand delivered telegram of encouragement which she recieved as she was about to take the court to play in the state championship game. MusicCityBilliken
Stone is an accomplished coach. She seems to be of the Majerus school, tear it down and re-build it my way with my players. If we have some ugly games along the way (remember that GW game first year with Majerus), so be it as long as the overall goal is accomplished. Congratulations on the recruiting class Coach Stone. Billikenboy
Program will only get better as it is able to recruit more ranked players. Once in a while you will find a diamond in the rough. This is not Blue Chips.
billikenbill
She came across as very enthusiastic and energetic during the halftime radio interview last night. Obviously loves what she does and sounds like the kind of coach who players will be motivated to play for.
slufanskip
5'11" and 6'2" guards ... this is something we didn't see in the past. Another thing is they mentioned the ability to shoot the 3 in just about if not every players bio.
