6' 9" banger who can compete in the class room, get us offensive rebounds, and shoot a jump shot from 10 feet as well as finish or dish out from under the basket. A 4 not an undersized 5

Sigh...

Sigh...

No doubt, Reggie is a 3. We need a real 4 at least 6'9" and 240lbs, needs to be able to touch the top of square from a standstill. Be able to face up, put the ball on the floor and attack the rim from 12' or closer. And ... it'd be good if he could shoot a minnimum of five 3's a game while making 40%.

Until Crews recruits this guy, I'm not going to be convinced he can recruit at the level we need.

Agbeko looks like AK (Knollmeyer) that Rm caused to lose 60 pounds and without the wide body had no skills. RA looks much more athletic but I saw little in the video showing either jump shot or rebounding and blocking out to protect the rim.

For every decent high school big we have recruited 60 percent have been timid and wouldn't work as hard as Conklin to get to the next level.

Call me skeptical until you sign a recruit as raw as Anthony Bonner who never perfected his jumper and could not get a steady job in the NBA although a man among boys in our old league.

Sure I would take Bonner in a moment but like Skinner before him he had great but limited ability to certain

functions not an all round basketball player but rebounder, dunker, leaper. Agbeko is no Bonner, either

Senior stats and most list him as 6 foot 7 table slid but 2 three pointers attempted and 50 percent free throw shooter

Means not enough time in gym or got by being bigger than the competition

We also need a 3 man on our roster. DE scores in the post so he isn't a 3. Crawford appears to play too much on the perimeter. Drew is too skinny. Need a true 3.

Drew can jump and looks slick: Willie was too skinny. Drew is only going to be a five year Pineman if he doesn't work hard. If he can be agressive he will stick; if after red shirting for a year he has nothing to offer he will transfer or keep his spot on the bench

True AK could not jump even after losing all that weight. My opinion is RM would run weight off RA or he wouldn't play.

RM hated fat basketball players

Maybe Adam Knollemeyer dunks around trashcan is more appropriate. I was doing this earlier today in the driveway had my son stand in front of the basket set on about 7". I was jamming it.

This discussion is comical! "GOSLU68" you took the time to post Reggies stats from his senior year of high school, meaning 2011 to 2012 stat which are phenomenal to say the least. You are talking about the one of the best rebounders in the country coming out of high school/prep basketball right now. This is why he was voted Player of the Year by the Basketball Coaches Association of NY and Catholic League, plus finalist for Mr Basketball NYS and and Gatorade NYS Player of the Year at the end of his senior season. He went further by playing another year of prep school (South Kent School) basketball in the NEPSAC AAA Division (Lion's Den for prep Basketball) against basketball powerhouses like New Hampton, St. Thomas More, Brewster, Northfield Mount Hermon, and others.

If you want to know anything about the NEPSAC the one thing you should know is that on any given night you can have as many as 10 high majors on the floor at one time. The Best vs the Best. There are no pretenders in the NEPSAC because it is viewed as the toughest prep school league in the country. Many top players are from there.....Mitch McGary, Russ Smith, Nik Staukas, .....to name a few whom you watched in the Louisville vs Michigan NCAA finals a few days back. These schools would give most D1 programs a run for their money. Reggie also dominated in that setting averaging a double double every time he touched the floor, 16ppg and 12rbd vs high majors 6ft 9 inches up to 7+ ft tall. His most dominant game .... 24 pts and 22 rebounds. Yes, at times he singlehandedly outrebounded whole frontlines. This is why SLU and many nationally ranked programs wanted him. He is a rebound/defense first kinda guy! Offensively he is gifted as well which you will see very soon. I mean if the guy was looked at by Duke and other nationally ranked programs you know he has to be taken seriously. In it all the 2013-2014 will be his time to prove all the cynics like you wrong as he has done time and time again. My gut tells me AB's record is in jeopardy next season from this Freshman. He could have chosen many other schools but he primarily chose SLU because they are a defense first team on the way up. An obvious contender that he can make even stronger!

Also his 240+ frame is mostly muscle if you did not know that...he is not fat....my guess is he may stay get bigger if the strength and conditioning coach sees he can increase his speed and agility without reduction in performance. Undersized??? I would like to see anyone on the current SLU frontline that can outrebound Reggie, defensively or offensively. He is a "Man" amongst "Boys" and the 240+ wood he lays is solid like his screens. Time will tell....we will just keep watching and waiting.

[You caught me drooling!]

That said, If Agbeko can challenge Anthony Bonner's freshman numbers in 2013-14, then he won't stay four years. I don't think Bonner had as much experienced talent in the frontcourt ahead of him as Agbeko will have. Then again, some people haven't been all that impressed with Loe, Manning, and Glaze.

Fixed it.

Come on. Has anyone actually been impressed with Glaze's skill? Manning, IMO, has shown much more (basketball skill wise) than GG. JM has shown that it is actually possible he can become a good D1 player because he can shoot outside of 5ft, and has touch around the bucket. GG, however, has shown he can run really fast and try really hard. That's about it.
