HusakAttack
top 10 recruit reportedly leaving Pitt. @BWeixScout threw out a teaser that seems to be purely on speculation trying to get people to subscribe to his new website. He went to ND prep - same as Jordair and Grandy. A article I read said the kid cried cause Jamie Dixon was too tough in practice. I think it's safe to say that RickMa isn't the coach to play for then. But hey - it can't hurt to dream...

NH
He's talented enough to play here I don't care if he didn't like Dixon. That said I doubt it's an option.
Westy03
Hes actually really good friends with Grandy and the staff is recruiting him but he is a long shot.

NH
Thanks for your contribution to the thread. I have no information on the scoop but if we could land this kid it would be a program changer

Cowboy
-if he can't take the heat and needs to be pumped up at every turn, it does not seem like SLU is the place for him as that is not Rick's m.o. and it could impact APR
billiken_roy
very likely it would affect apr unless we dont take one of the two recruits planning to come to Saint Louis University next year. our planned roster for next season is filled so to take a transfer would mean someone would have to go and our track record of our cuts being ahead academically at the end of the spring semester is not good. jjray
I'd love to have him but the SI article makes Khem sound like he should be one of Calipari's kids. Then again, it does not appear the author of the article even spoke with Birch so who can say. Other than the fact that his good buddy Grandymama is at SLU, I just can't fathom that Rick is a match for him.

RiseAndGrind
NH: Pete Thamel, New York Times reporter tweeted that Mizzou and New Mexico State were two possibilities for Birch. NMSU has a couple of Canadians on their team (including Sim Bullhar) and Mizzou has a Canadian or two signed for next year.
RiseAndGrind
I wonder what Brown's signing bonus will be. Can't wait to see what MIzzou's Chemistry is like next year with Earnest Ross. Jabari Brown, and Keion Bell! Obviously all high character guys.

billiken_roy
obviously the $10k per capita is a far better buy in the midwest than it was on south beach.
brianstl
obviously the $10k per capita is a far better buy in the midwest than it was on south beach. It is a little strange that the guy is a better recruiter in COMO than he was when he had South Beach and the ACC to sell.

cheesycow
Name on the jersey matters a lot more than the name on the map, I think. Syracuse would get no one otherwise.
kshoe
Here is the latest on Birch. Its starting to become a little clearer why Mizzou is always getting these transfers... http://aol.sportingnews.com/ncaa-basketball/story/2011-12-29/ex-pitt-center-khem-birch-narrows-transfer-list
jjray
We didn't make Birch's list of 6 possible transfer schools. Xavier is on the list. -- Florida, UNLV, Gonzaga, Washington, Xavier or New Mexico State. Would have been cool to at least be in the running. Lots of minutes @ forward up for grabs after Conk graduates.
CHEESE
If a coach screaming at him makes this kid cry, I can only imagine what would happen if RickMa's wonk were to make another appearance at practice...
