mccarthyirish7
A&M actually got 79 votes. Bills at #32 (18 votes). I really don't mind being in this spot at all. Motivation, less of a target on our back. We just need to win baby!! http://sportsillustr.../polls/coaches/ Not too far out Texas-AM in with 26 votes. Bills got 18........ Franchise_08
They cannot ignore a 12-1 record, could they? I am glad the Vermont game was picked up by FSM this week.

kshoe
ESPN Link to both bolls, SLU #31 (AP), #32 (Coaches) Seems fair to me. If you want to be ranked you shouldn't lose to crap teams like LMU. When we get to 12-1 we'll be right on the cusp if not in the top 25. If we win over New Mexico, we'll be ranked by the first conference game... jjray
At least we are still in the conversation. We will be under the media radar until the big game @new mexico. Win there, then win @dayton and we should be back in the spot light. Easier said than done. Let's take care of business against Vermont first. Box and Won
Could be hard to crack the top 25 for a while. Harvard is playing GW, Fordham, St. Joe's, BC, oh yeah, and UCONN.
youjustgotKMed
This makes the LMU loss sting so much more,
slu72
A cursory look at the upcoming scheds for 21 thru 31 (all ranked above us at this point): Memphis- Louisville, GU, Miami; difficult to get out of those with 2 w's TX AM- FL, Baylor (these guys have had a soft sched for the most part) Zags-MSU, AZ, and Butler, that's a tough road and they've got X on 01/02 ILL- UNLV, Mizzery, Minn (Illini have had a fairly soft sched up until now looks like they backloaded with the toughies) Harvard- UConn, St. Joes, BC - Ok they lose to Uconn, c'mon HAWKS show your A-10 brother some love. Harvard beat LMU there. Those crap artist lions are friggin' doggin' us every time you turn around. UNLV- Ill, Wisc, Cal - this is no day at the beach Vandy- They're like us they frontloaded with toughies. Marquette's their only challenge. Cal- UNLV, UCLA (this might not be too tough) SDSU- No one of note, kind of like us. MSU- Zags and Indiana Indiana- KY, ND, MSU, OSU all before the ball drops in times square. Can see 3 losses for the Hoosiers. Other than Butler and NC State Crean scheduled cupcakes. I'd say they lose 3 of these. Based on the above those above us are going to take some hits, save for SDSU. If we're impressive enough in our W's at home, please don't stumble, and knock off NM at the pit, we could start conf play as a ranked team. Not sure that's good or bad as it does put a target on your back.

STLfan
At 31 and 32 in the polls we should be able to move back in soon enough. We should be able to finish our last six games 6-0 and finish the non-conference part of our schedule 13-1 and ranked. @New Mexico is really our only remaining challenging non-conference game and that is mainly because it is a road game. Taj79
So are we in the NIT or CBI? collegeinsider.com tournament? Before we all start speculating about winning out in December and getting to the Pit at 12 and 1 ..... let's take it all one game at a time. If no tbeing ranked serves as motivation, then I'd rather we weren't. Just Win Baby. The rest will take care of itself.

slu72
You are a wise man, Taj. Taj Mhal is a wise man. Of course I taught him everything he knows which is why. I agree with the Pentagon Pontificator that the rankings don't mean squat right now so just win baby. Although many on this board disagree. That said, if you look at the above post with who the 21 thru 31st teams play in the next 4 weeks or so the Bills can sneak back in if they win out on the homestand and pull off the upset at NM. For examle, look at Messphis, IU, and he Zags. All three have a tough road to hoe.And it's unlikely this early in the season many teams w/ 3 losses or more are going to get ranked unless your UNC or Duke. That friggin' LMU game, especially since they've gone in the toilet since beating us, hurt us big time but nothing we can't recover from by year's end. You agree, Oh great one, Taj Mahal?
