What is pathetic is calling people snowflakes for listening to the medical professionals 🤷🏼‍♂️

This graphic seems to say that the same number of people will get Coronavirus, but that delaying the spread lessens the impact of the peak.  This would, as others have said, prevent the availability of medical treatment from being spread too thin.  Seeing this and hearing and reading a lot of information that has been disseminated on this board has me coming around, a bit, on the topic of essentially cancelling all human interaction for the purpose of accomplishing what the chart shows.  I'm still not sold on destroying our economy and hiding in our homes, but I do understand this position more now than I did before.  It's a tough call.  On one had, you slow the spread of the virus to make it more manageable.  On the other hand you hurt world economies that will be relied upon to provide the money necessary to help combat the virus and help the victims.  It's an interesting debate.

The goal isn't to totally prevent the spread of the virus.  The goal is to slow the spread enough to stop the healthcare system from collapsing by being overwhelmed with too many patients at one time.  If you don't slow down the spread you will look like Italy right now where people are not only dying from the virus, but dying because they can't get proper treatment for other issues because the system is overwhelmed.  The biggest issue with COVID-19 isn't the amount of people that die from it, it is the massive percentage of people who have it that need to be hospitalized.

the old saying "you are only as strong as your weakest link" comes to mind.   a month ago hargrove and perkins were still mediocre at best.   they have both come on very much defensively.   it is very entertaining to have watched hargrove go from complete ole defense trying to block shots from behind after dribblers went by him, to keeping himself pretty much in front of his man and attacking picks the right way.    applause for him.  with his athleticism, if he completely buys in and puts out the effort he can be a fantastic defender eventually

    Here is an interesting twist.
Duquesne fans need to root for a SLU win over the Bonnies (after the Dukes possibly beat Richmond tonight) while SLU fans need to root against the Dukes for the Bills to have a chance to finish 4th in the league. A Dukes win and Bonnie loss gives the Dukes a double A-10 bye.  A Dukes loss and Bonnie loss gives SLU a double-bye.
Also, contrary to popular belief by a couple of regular posters on this board who slammed me for ONLY cheering for the Dukes (and not the A-10 in general as I have claimed), I really do have mixed feelings about my Dukes winning against Richmond. As a DU fan, I really want them to win, HOWEVER, I would hate to see a win by them over Richmond cost the Spiders an NCAA at-large berth which they deserve.  But according to the bracket experts, that's exactly what will happen.  It shouldn't be that way. A road loss to a 22-win team should not cost Richmond a bid with their body of work to date.   They beat Wisconsin who is going to finish in a tie for first in the Big 10, the deepest conference in the NCAA.
The "experts" also say Duquesne has no chance for a bid, without winning the A-10 tourney, despite having a chance to go 23-8 in the regular season.
With wins AT VCU, SLU and St. Bonnie, not to mention neural court wins over Princeton, Indiana State, Radford and Austin Peay,  the Dukes still only have an average computer rating of around 85.  That's bull crap.   It's not their fault VMI, Air Force, Loyola Marymount, and Columbia sucked this year.  Those teams are not traditional powerhouses, but they are not usually the doormats they are this year.
Duquesne has not played a single game on its home court all year.  That should be taken into consideration when it comes to their computer ranking.  I think the teams in the A-10 are just as good as the Big East and yet the A-10 is only getting 1-2 teams in the Big Dance and the Big East is getting at least 7 teams.   Dayton, a healthy Rhode Island and a healthy Richmond are as good as Seton Hall and Villanova  and Creighton. I don't care what the computer rankings claim.
I don't understand how a conference with FIVE 20-win teams that plays a pretty decent OC schedule with 40 percent of their OC games on the road (that collectively goes 57 games over .500) and yet the Bracketology experts keep saying Dayton is the only sure thing.
And of course, the Flyers should be a No. 1 seed, but they are only being projected as a 2 seed.

This weekend's bubbles games rooting guide.  I'm going to focus on the 21 teams on the bubble per Lunardi's last Bracket Math twitter post from yesterday (3/4) plus UCLA:
IN (# is Lunardi's seed order)
36 - Oklahoma - at TCU on Saturday.   I'm not sure a loss there knocks them out, but root for TCU anyways
37 - USC - hosts UCLA on Saturday.  I actually think we're rooting for a USC blowout win here.  Both teams are on the bubble, but we have a better chance of passing UCLA.
38 - AZ State (should drop after losing to Washington last night, but probably not below SLU yet) - hosts Washington State on Saturday.  Need a Washington State win.
39 - Rutgers - at Purdue on Saturday.  Since Purdue is on the bubble OUT, we probably want a Rutgers blowout win here.  I'm not sure the result moves the either team much.
40 - Stanford (should drop after losing at Oregon State last night, but again probably not below SLU yet) -  at #13 Oregon on Saturday.  Need an Oregon blowout, but won't move much.
41 - Texas - hosts Oklahoma State on Saturday.  Need on OK Stat upset win.
42 - Indiana - hosts #24 Wisconsin on Saturday.  Need a Wisconsin blowout win, but won't move much.
43 - Xavier - hosts Butler on Saturday.  Need a Butler blowout win.
46 - Cincinnati - hosts Temple on Saturday.  Need a Temple upset win.
48 - UCLA (I'm adding them - I don't think Lunardi officially has them on the bubble because he has them with the Pac 12 auto bid) - see USC above.  We prob want USC to win.
    OUT
69 - Wichita State (should drop after losing to Memphis last night, but prob not below SLU) - hosts Tulsa on Sunday.  Prob need a Tulsa win, but Tulsa may be just behind SLU on the bubble.  I'd still root Tulsa.
70 - Utah State (unfortunately NM couldn't close them out last night & kill their at-large hopes) - play Wyoming in the MWC tourney tonight.  We're rooting WY Cowboys all the way here.  A loss would def knock them out.
71 - Richmond - at DUQ tonight.  While a Richmond loss might help us jump them in bubble order, we're fairly obviously rooting for them so SLU can secure the A10 1st round bye and Richmond can hopefully be another A10 team in the tournament.
72 - NC State - hosts Wake Forest tonight .  Root for a Wake upset to knock NC State out of the picture
73 - Purdue - hosts Rutgers on Saturday.  See Rutgers above.  A Rutgers semi-upset, blowout win would be good for us.
74 - Memphis (might move up after beating Wichita St last night) - at #21 Houston on Sunday.  Root for a Houston blowout win.
75 - S Carolina - at Vanderbilt on Saturday.  Root for a Vandy upset win.
76 - Arkansas - at Texas A&M on Saturday. Root for an A&M upset win.
77 - Mississippi State - host Ole Miss on Saturday.  Root for an Ole Miss upset win.
78 - Rhode Island - at UMass on Saturday.  Root for UMass so SLU has a shot at the #3 seed in the A10 tournament.  At this point, I'm fairly certain that our own at-large hopes (& Richmond's) hinge on Rhody not making the field.  I just don't see a path for a 3 bid A-10.
79 - Tennessee - hosts Aurburn on Saturday.  Root very hard for an Aurburn blowout win (even better for SLU since we played Auburn earlier this season)
80 - SLU - Host Bona on Saturday.  Need the Billies to win big.
Also probably need to root for Northern Iowa to win the MVC tournament, ETSU to win the Southern Con tournament , and Yale to win the Ivy tournament (or maybe get knocked out early & fall off the bubble entirely).  Those are potential at-large teams (Yale is highly questionable, but could potentially be ahead of us) that could steal bids if they lose their conference tournaments.
Also need to root for all of SLU's past opponents to win as many remaining games as possible (except we'd probably rather Northern Iowa beat Valpo and/or SIU in the MVC tournament if UNI would be in line for an at-large otherwise).  We actually have some hopes for teams like Belmont (OVC), Eastern Washington (Big Sky), Bethune-Cookman (MEAC) to win their conference tournaments in addition to teams like Seton Hall & Auburn who are IN regardless, but also contenders in the Big East & SEC tournaments, respectively.

I’ve talked myself into like half this roster in the league at various points in the year. This group is a ton of fun and has potential to spare.

Man, when TJ shoots in rhythm it looks pure.  The one last night and the 3 pointer from the game before looked as good as anyone's outside shot has all season.  Dude is going to be an absolute monster by his Jr. year.  I could actually see him in the league at some point assuming he keeps this trajectory going.  He's got all the attributes to be a dominating player.
Also, how about that assist from Bell to TJ last night?  That was a thing of beauty. And the long 2 pointer? We're just scratching to surface of what Jimmy can do.

Here's my hot take, because i love getting into semantics (i think you and i are in agreement): "one bid league" is pretty specific and describes a conference in which the winner of the conference tournament will be the only NCAA tournament team regardless of if said team is the best team in the conference. The A10 is not a "one bid league" because if someone other than Dayton wins the conf. tournament, Dayton will still be in the tournament no matter what. Even if Dayton does win the A10 tourney and the conference only gets one bid because of that, I wouldn't describe the A10 as a "one bid league" -- I would describe it as a conference with one team in the tournament. "one bid league" is a bit of a misnomer because it describes the quality of the conference, not the actual number of bids received.
