Thames, Larry, Gibby, Curcic, SVB, and Medley are keepers. I spoke to Medley’s dad at MBeach and he said the reason Cian came to SLU was Travis and how he developed Yuri. I think Cian may bolt for an East Coast Team. He came on strong and might want to play closer to home. Here’s hoping he holds his horses until he meets the new coach.

Just read an article on UL’s top 8 candidates. Schertz was not listed. I don’t think this rules him out but there were some heavy hitters on the list. 

I could see him being a third guard getting 15-20 mpg who can make threes in rapid succession. Davidson always seems to have a player or players like that. Be nice if we had one.

You are forfeiting your spot on the roster and giving up your scholarship... to test the waters.  Might be a good idea to check out the new guy  and then make a decision.

CofC just won the CAA and is dancing 2nd year in a row. Quite a job by Kelsey as he lost his 3 top scorers from last year. I wish we could get him but he’s likely P6 bound. Whoever gets him will have to deal pay CofC around $6mn if he goes. 

I’d add Ezewiro to your keepers. He’s our only inside scoring threat right now. Keep Curcic. Every time he played we built a lead. LH is gonna stay because of dad. Plus his 3 pt shooting should improve. Medley came on. So I got 8 coming back. Add 5 in the portal. A true PF. A sharp shooting combo or 2. A bigger PG. A 5 that can pop from outside, ala Lowe. That’s a squad.

It’s wrong to root against a team for which you’ve declared you’re a fan of. Unless you’re a fan of a lousy NFL team and some late season losses will move you up the draft ladder. 

It's why we have such fond memories of childhood fandom.  We rooted for the players on the team.  This preoccupation with pocket watching, return on investment, the political leanings of the coach, etc. comes with the hangups of adulthood.  It makes fandom a more miserable experience than it has to be.

No one that claims to be a SLU fan should ever, and that means literally ever, root against the Billikens. Period. 

I have mixed emotions now about tomorrow’s game.  Hard for me to root against the Billikens though.  GO BILLS!
