I think it still matters. It appears from the shake out in Bally's bankruptcy that traditional over the air TV is going to be a big part of TV sports deals again going forward. That means TV market size is important. Also, for the streamers the TV markets represent the size of a potential customer base the product can attract.
I don't think it matters all that much, TBH. The modern day Big East has shown it doesn't care if a school is in a small market (Creighton), public (UConn), or non-Catholic (Butler). They're looking for winning hoops programs.

LaSalle could cut down on their operating expenses by turning off the pool pump during games.
Fordham must be taking every recruit to Peter Luger's.

I wonder how many people have played for both Mizzou and Kansas.

What does 20 wins get us aside from being totally arbitrary?
People whose college hoops knowledge is anchored in 1987 get really happy about that sort of thing.

When I saw 18 replies to this thread I thought someone had tried the coffee and gave a review- no such luck. Lots of helpings of pettiness, though.
Sorry if I missed it, but can you buy the coffee in stores or is it online only? I definitely want to support the kid.

After last season, anyone who's in favor of more home games is clearly a masochist.

Tuition is only $4500 a semester at SEMO. Unless you're an athlete, have wealthy parents, are a scholarship winner, or getting financial aid out the rear, going to SLU makes no sense. Work for a year and no one give a shiite who your diploma is from anyway......
Not only is the tuition very reasonable to begin with, the Missouri state schools all have a sliding scale with guaranteed scholarship money for students who have a certain combination of GPA and test scores. For example, a kid with a 3.5 and a 25 on the ACT gets an automatic $3k from SEMO. With a kid in high school, I've taken a newfound interest in this stuff.

So roughly 12,000 per year in todays dollars. Amazing that it now costs…quadruple that?
Roughly. And you're looking at $65k all in.

The 'giving day' emails were...something. Lots of focus on things that don't matter, academically speaking.
I was just discussing that with my wife the other day.

I would definitely be visiting University if Hawaii.
Then hit up some combination of Pepperdine, Miami, Colorado, and a New York school. If D2 schools give you free travel I’d check out the University of Alaska at anchorage too.
Olean, obviously. The opportunity to ride snowmobiles and a dog sled would be too hard to pass up.

The attendance numbers for this season won't come out until after the Final Four, but last season the MWC averaged 6,203 people per game. The A10 averaged 4,313 per game.
**Please note that people swimming in LaSalle's pool during games are not included in the final attendance count.**
