Ford and Majerus have taken two very different approaches. Ford is accumulating talent a lot quicker than RM, but I'm not sure we saw the ceiling of what Majerus could have done here. If Willie hadn't flaked out, who knows, maybe RM's last team gets to the Elite 8. That team, which was already pretty good, with WR would have been pretty awesome. RM had assembled a deep talented roster.

Majerus was THE best basketball coach who has ever lived.

Dumb.

The team had one year of serious contention under Majerus, until they were put under what was apparently the burned-out tutelage of one Jim Crews.

Majerus showed his ceiling pretty clearly at Utah, and taking SLU to a top 10 roster, as well as recruiting our only current NBA player, showed that his ceiling had not come down at all.

Wooden had absolutely nothing on Majerus. Majerus was THE best basketball coach who has ever lived.

Uhhh I don't think he was ripping on majerus. Settle down

r there rules to keep Calipari etc to not tamper with signed players? I'm sure he's flashing a little leg when watching Ramey, Gordon's way

Nope. A verbal commitment is considered meaningless by other programs, so it is primarily on the recruit to decide just how much he listens after giving a verbal.

That, and the coaching staff that procured the commitment must continue to develop the recruiting relationship with the recruit.
