Sh!t can the whole athletic program. 

-Ford said they're coping well, all things considered. Doing anything they can to stay connected to the team. Doing Zooms with the players and coaches regularly, and also the women's staff to kick ideas around.
-He doesn't mind the players having a couple weeks off at the end of the season but now they need to get moving again. S&C coach is also doing Zooms with the players to get them exercising. "I don't think anybody can get ahead during these times, but you can certainly fall behind."
-Definitely anticipated French and Goodwin declaring. Had long conversations with both and their families. He supported and even encouraged it. Hates that it looks like workouts and combines won't be happening, so they're not getting the full evaluations they deserve. If they're ever expected to be first-round picks, they need to stay in the draft. That's guaranteed money.
-There are almost 700 names in the transfer portal but we haven't been in the pool since Hankton transferred, so we're late from that standpoint. Just taking it day by day and if Goodwin or French can go pro, we have to get busy in short order. It's a challenge but we're supporting everybody.
-Goodwin has things you can't teach - leadership, motor, energy - but he needs to work on ball handling, jump shooting, spacing. He keeps getting better every year and will continue to do so. He doesn't agree with the maxim that you are who you are as a shooter by age 20. Says guys get provably better, especially bigs. Everyone shoots threes now.
-The only recruiting we can do is on the phone - text, calls, FaceTime, Zoom, etc. We can offer guys and they can commit but signing dates have been moved back. "You're trying to get kids to commit who have never been to campus, seen the facilities, or met their teammates in person. Just through videos."
-He can't talk about Lorentsson at all. We technically have two scholarships because he hasn't signed but really one (not his words but implied via the back-and-forth with Frank).
-Transfers have already been through the recruiting process. They're older, they have an understanding of how it works. HS kids are more difficult because they want to take more visits, and who knows how long it'll be before we can do that again.
-Tough to build relationships just over the phone but we're doing our best.
-NCAA postponed the vote on immediate transfer eligibility until June. He thought it was going to go through but now is hearing that conferences might try to fight it. Not sure which ones or how valid the rumor is. He thinks the current numbers will double if it happens.
-They keep a close eye on the transfer portal. Every coach, everyday.
-"I know coaches with no scholarships available and are still calling recruits. We aren't doing that but it's the nature of the beast that you don't want to get behind in this...if you don't offer immediately, you're in a losing position. Recruits are asking about offers before the first conversation is over." Shared a story from his EKU days. A recruit committed the day after a home visit and offer. They pushed back and said you have to visit and meet your teammates first. The rest went well and he ended up being a starter almost his whole career. The insta-commitment hasn't happened since.
-"The further I get from the end of the season, the more I realize how great we were playing. Not only the large margins of victory, but those last 2 or 3 were huge games for both teams playing. Rhode Island could've gotten an at-large. Both teams had a lot on the line and it wasn't even a game. Then you have St. Bonaventure and we're both playing for the double bye. I guess we got up to 26 at one point. George Mason, we're down 1 at half and end up winning by 12-13. Games weren't even close. We were playing at a high level, as well as any team as I've coached down the stretch. I'm proud of how we finished and had a chance to do something special in the A10."
-It could be a great team if everyone comes back. Everyone's gotta be humble and hungry. And we've gotta get back together when all this is over.

Second, what an absolutely embarrassing, sickening insult to some of the best and brightest students graduating from our SLU medical school this year, who are matching into a specialty which has quickly become one of the most competitive in the entire match process over the past five years. You consider yourself a Billikens fan? Be proud of our SLU graduates, no matter what their specialty is. God knows, we need more mental healthcare providers in this country, especially after this pandemic is all said and done. You sicken me, especially if you indeed are an MD. I don't need your validation, nor do any of the other professionals on this board.

When you see everything as Trump vs. the world, you assume that anything that is bad for Trump is good for those who didn't vote for him and don't support him. Big Bill Fan clearly thinks this way and is incapable of seeing reality because of it. The reality is that no one is gloating and this sucks for everyone.
Trump had a chance to make the response to this apolitical and unifying. Instead, he chose to ignore it, then deny it, then downplay it. He made it about himself and treated it initially as a political inconvenience and a threat to the economy - and therefore a threat to his reelection chances because he's tied his entire presidency to the success of the stock market.
In the immediate aftermath of 9/11, Bush's approval rating surpassed 90%. His immediate response was about coming together to deal with something terrible we'd never experienced before. Had Trump done the same, his approval rating would be double what it currently is.
But that isn't what he did and we're dealing with the effects of that. This is what happens when the president is a malignant narcissist obsessed with undoing the work of his predecessor (a pandemic response team seems like something that would come in handy right about now, for example), and who has surrounded himself with grifters and yes men instead of competent, experienced professionals.
This isn't complicated. It all happened right out in the open.

TDS is a debilitating and progressive disease....stunning, that some are gloating over tragedy and death.....this forum has truly exposed the character of some....

Two days after that Obama asked for $1.5 billion from Congress and later $9 billion to help. A $7.7 billion bill was signed in June, 2009. The Public Health Emergency was renewed July 24th and Oct 1. The first test to detect the new virus was approved April 28, 2009 by the FDA. Shipments of the new CDC test began May 1st, 2009. The WHO didn’t declare it a pandemic until June 11, 2009. (by comparison Trump declared Public Health Emergency a day after The WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic.)

On February 25th, 2020 Trump tweeted that Chuck Schumer asked him to request more than $2.5 billion to prepare for COVID-19. This was a day after DT said everything was “under control” with the virus in the USA. 
31 days ago Trump said that there were 15 U.S. cases and in a few days there would be zero. 
For several weeks and months Trump was asked to invoke the Defense Production Act to help with equipment and supplies. He said no. He said that the U.S. is not a nationalized country. What Trump left out was that the Act has been used hundreds of thousands of times during his presidency. The Defense Department alone says it uses it 300,000 times a year during DT admin. DT finally invoked the Act this past weekend.

The Pentagon said today it is still sitting on a few thousand ventilators because FEMA and HHS haven’t yet given them addresses where to send them. DT said today they are “holding back” 10k ventilators despite rising death counts and ventilator shortage.

DT has tried several times to cut CDC funding including Feb 2020, after knowing of COVID-19.
DT said last Thursday on Fox News that he did not believe NY needed 30k ventilators. Later the same day Dr. Fauci said yes NY needs them. DT later says he never said NY didn’t need 30k ventilators.

The new spin has been impeachment distractions. By saying there has been a distraction at all, Mitch McConnell is admitting Trump’s poor response to the pandemic. Previous posts have indicated dates, timelines of DT’s words, actions, activities during February and March after impeachment conclusion at the beginning of February.
The ever changing spin today is that some governors were slow to respond. Cuomo’s response is that the Federal Government has been absent during this pandemic. Speaking of impeachment and govenors, Trump said last week to not call some specific govenors instead of others and that he was not going to help them because they were not nice enough to him. I have not claimed to be an expert in anything I am not an expert in, have not been rude, have not resorted to personal attacks, have not said anything political, and have not questioned your or anyone else’s credentials. The most I have said is summed up by “interesting but incomplete results; hope there is more to it.” A couple of weeks ago I shared my experience having been admitted to a hospital in these uncertain times and you jumped down my throat at that time, too, and told me not to complain because I made it out alive. (I was not complaining, just relaying a story exactly as it happened—if you read anything further into it, well, I guess that’s on me for not communicating my point effectively) Your reactions to my posts certainly seem disproportionate and I’m curious to know why that is. 

Other countries’ approval is not evidence. Evidence is evidence. Unless other countries have some data not mentioned before, they are looking at the same studies we are and saying it’s worth a shot. As for you continually notifying me that I don’t have a say in drug approval...do you... think I don’t know that? I’m obviously offering my opinion. Everyone on this board is. I was not aware that you need to be an FDA official to have an opinion on the results of a study done in France. I’ll make note of that for future reference. 
The original opinion I shared was pretty mild and noncommittal (basically just said I’m not an expert in infectious disease but do have knowledge in pharmaceutical research and think this is good but needs more study), which is part of what makes your responses so hilarious. You’ve repeatedly condescended to me and made unwarranted personal digs at me.  I don’t know why you continue to bend over to try to insult me or what it is about me that seems to get under your skin so much, but rest assured that I’m not bothered. I have, however, reached my limit on respectfully responding to you, so continue to insult me all you want, but I won’t reply. I don’t want to make myself look like an @sshole.
