The foot injury his senior year was a big setback as well.  Probably bigger than sitting out a year.  He was actually slightly more efficient his junior year, but scored less volume.  When he came back his junior year the team just had more scoring options than it did during his sophomore year.

I think this board underestimates how hard it is to make the NBA. What, maybe 30 US college players make a roster. While Gordon could have been a good college player he is not particularly long and didn't appear to have great hops. He didn't have a great outside shot. I don't think he ever had a chance for the NBA but certainly could make a living playing overseas if that life style was ever possible. 

The only name that I have thought of that I almost like is Réunion.  Not how wow we normally think of the word reunion in English but from the from the French phrase for meeting of the rivers, "réunion des rivières".  It pays homage to both the French heritage of the City and why people decided to settle here in the first place.

Here's the origin story of that jersey showing up in that video:
My freshman year, Nelly and the St. Lunatics were our homecoming concert act. SAB blew the whole budget for the year on this show and it was still $15 to get in. They came on 45 minutes late, played the hits, and left while saying "Sorry, y'all gave us a curfew of 11 so we're done." The opener was Toya, who went to MICDS and had a hit or two in the early-2000s. She played for maybe 20-30 minutes and had two backup dancers who were these ripped shirtless dudes who she wouldn't stop talking about. Terrible show.
Anyway, before the show, a couple of them got to raid one of the storage closets in the West Pine Gym. We always had boxes of old jerseys, shorts, equipment, etc. I don't know exactly how many of them got to grab stuff, or how much they had access to, or who let them in (my memory is fuzzy on this but I could give a good guess), but they showed up on stage with a few of them wearing old SLU basketball jerseys. And of course they kept them, so Murphy Lee immortalized the #14 jersey in the "Hot In Herre" video that came out in 2002, the following year.
(It was definitely Andrew Latimer's, too. He wore #14 in his season and a half at SLU. His freshman year was 1999-2000, and he left during winter break of the 2000-2001 season without warning any coaches. He was just gone and left all his gear. When they got in touch with him, he said he headed back home to Australia because he was homesick. So his old jerseys went in the boxes with the other blood jerseys - usually #10 and #24 in my years - and extra practice gear.)

Cook would fit I well as a grad transfer. Missing 3 free throws near the end of the game fits us well.

You gotta love this Board. Last week Ford was on the hot seat,this week the board is worried about his contract. 

I believe the 75-25 split is still accurate.  Each unit is paid out over six years beginning the year after the the unit is earned.  Last season SLU would have got around $1.3 million for six units total earned in the 2012-14 tournaments.  This season it dropped to around $860,000 as the units for 2012 dropped off.  Next season the 2013 units will be gone and the season after that the 2014 units will be gone.

I think this is a winnable game. We beat mostly the same group for them last year, and our team is improved. The game plan has to be similar, slow them down and force a half court game. Robinson is coming back, but Buzzy admitted today that he will be limited and he is out of shape. So I don't see him being a big factor...hopefully I don't eat those words. These last 4 games were unbelievable. Ford figured it out when he had too, and today everything went right when it had too. Stockard fouling out was HUGE. If its him not Caputo taking that last shot, it probably goes in. The basketball gods helped us out with that one.  If we get by VATECH I think Miss State second round is actually less scary.  Some people think Liberty may get them. So who knows. After being near the top of the bracket before, or facing a stupidly underseeded oregon team, we are in a nice comfy spot in the middle of the bracket. Remember, it was a breakdown in the center of a bracket that somehow got LaSalle to a sweet 16 a few years back. If we play our best game and the luck is with us, it could happen. 
 
EDIT...it seems this is a GOOD POST so could some of you mark it as such..it would be nice to post again.     I Think we can beat these guys. Robinson isn't going to be 100 percent

I wish Ingvi luck. It seems clear to me he just wasn't good enough to play at this level. This team was desperate for shooters and the coaches saw him in practice every day and yet he still never made it on the court.
As Sshoe is well aware, just because your older brother is awesome at sports doesn't mean you'll be equally good...
