-I agree but will ask if schools are dropped why replace them? get closer to playing a full conference schedule

-I remember not so easy games against bad teams, this was not one of them, GREAT to see FTJr back on the floor getting rid of some rust, I hope Minnesota keeps winning until we see them to make that a good win, Markhi let your play do your talking and just play the game

-first I've heard of this one, is the medal in the trophy cases in the hallway above the Pavilion?
-also didn't know we played on Friday in the first forward pass game

-to go off course a moment, Penn State's former coach DeChillis is at Navy who beat Georgetown yesterday, Georgetown's first loss to a Patriot League team in history according to CBSSports - Anchors Aweigh

-I know this thread is about a Hochman article, but I didn't want to start a new thread or keep looking for a better place
-BenFred has a column today about bball scheduling in the age of Covid - I can't get a link as I can't get to STLToday.com
-he advocates for a game this season with the fluid schedule situation but his theme is that both teams are at fault for not playing this season or historically
-BenFred, you are not an honest purveyor of the facts, one school has been willing to play, that is SLU, and one school has not, that is the other, don't include SLU in your blame game when they shouldn't be, what a cheap and dishonest article, especially the conclusion

-interesting that Matter has us that high, that is a surprise
-speaking of surprises, it would not surprise me if someone else fills out the ballot for Dickie V

-for Seth Davis, talking about a normal season, unless a team is Gonz, and perhaps even for them, it is getting more difficult each season for non P6 teams to get games with P6 teams and almost impossible to get these games at home, do you agree? do you have a solution/recommendation? I would reward and/or punish P6 when it comes to the Tourney either with seeding or travel around this issue until I could determine a better and more significant way to address this
-also, regarding making the Tournament, I am not a 'reward mediocrity' person in life and certainly not when it comes to the Tourney, would you be in favor of a RULE where a team has to be at least one game over .500 in their league to get an at-large bid? EVERY possible way to get an at-large is stacked in favor of P6 teams, they get many more Quad 1 or 2 games where non P6 teams get so few there is so much pressure on the couple games a non P6 team might play during the season. While realizing the 2020 Tournament did not happen, seeing teams like Purdue with 15 losses and Indiana with 12 losses and each being two games under .500 in the Big 10 be projected as in or on the bubble but teams like Richmond with 24-7 record in a very good conference or Stephen F Austin with a 28-3 record or Northern Iowa with a 25-6 record are not projected as 'locks' or in or are thought to be out of the Tournament all together.  The emphasis should be on games WON and LOST

-heard on a sports report yesterday that parents of players are not allowed to attend but John Ulett might not be the best source, IF TRUE I think that is going way too far, but one aspect that could sway my thought is how much does it cost to clean the common areas? if only parents were allowed you have 60 people max and that includes parents from the other team, but then I guess the entire building would need to be sanitized
-I would accept the risk of attending games in person and pay more for The U to do whatever would be required to sanitize

-let's go win a couple games, beat the spread as I'm going to bet on the Bills, and on Saturday folks all across the country recovering from their over indulgence of turkey, dressing and alcohol will wonder what the heck they are seeing when  'LSU v SLU' scrolls and think how can a team play itself? and cause them to head to the fridge or liquor cabinet to get themselves properly medicated
    -Let's Go Bills!!!!

-did they say there was tie and that is why there are 6? 6 on a team makes no sense to me unless a tie in the vote - JPerk 3rd team? see my last phrase
-ok, give Rich the love before the season starts, I would prefer we are projected to win (like SVU in almost every other season) but after we win the league the love needs to flow our direction
-I am a bit surprised Rich had that many more first place votes than we did, shows some folks don't have a clue
