Do I wish Yuri turned it over less? Sure absolutely. But do I wish Yuri would change his style of play in order to cut down on turnovers? No not really. Yes he makes his fair share of simply bad turnovers (who doesn't?) but most of his turnovers are just a result of him attempting to make a special play that he still makes more times than not.

I go back & forth on this.
On one hand, ball handling is clearly something TJ needs to work on.  It would be nice if he was better at it because it could take some pressure off Yuri & make it harder to press/trap us.
On the other hand, Yuri handles the ball so much that maybe it would be better if TJ just focused on becoming dominant at the other things he's already pretty good at and are more within his "role".  I'd love TJ to be the Billiken version of good Spurs/Raptors era Danny Green.  3 & D wing - knockdown 40% or better 3 pt shooter and excellent wing defender (add in some finishing on backdoor & transition alley oops so we still get the highlights from him).  TJ's biggest issue is turnovers especially for a guy who doesn't handle it much.  He can cut those down by becoming a better ballhandler or by staying within his role more & handling it even less.

A10 fans spend so much time every year talking about the chances of the A10 being a one bid league, despite the fact that never once during SLU's time in the league has only one team made the big dance.
This is a rare instance in which I don't agree with @The Wiz analysis. If the season ended today, Davidson would be in the field. Just about every computer system would also have them at an <50% chance of winning the A10 tourney. So the chances of two teams from the A10 making it are almost certainly above 50% (I understand Davidson would have to lose a game in the tourney to make this happen).
The ACC is very down this year, the Pac-12 is nothing to write home about either. The demise of the A10 has been overstated.

Depends on whether you win or lose the fight.

As per NCAA rule 23.32 subsection C. I quote “in the event of a disqualification due to fighting the NCAA toughness quotient will be immediately applied and should be used to determine any positive or negative effect on the NCAA net rating. If a clear winner of the fight can be determined the team that won the fight shall receive  a 10 net point gain. The team determined to be the loser shall have a 10 net point loss. If no clear winner can be determined neither teams net rating shall be affected.”

Based upon the above rule which is very clear, I think the attempt by Grant to get the game disqualified was a miscalculation. We have Fred Thatch.

There have been plenty of fights during NCAA basketball games and the game is never “disqualified.”

Im ashamed of myself for even responding. This is just silly.

Haven't we generally had an unwritten rule not to speculate on transfers out? Just out of respect for the players that chose to be here.

That's fair, but I don't think Williams has once looked the part and every time he's in the game he chucks it up like's Gibson Jimerson or something.
Strickland at least could potentially have a future here and I'm much more interested in what he can do with some minutes than Williams.

My issue with Williams is why play him in that type of game instead of Strickland who still has 3+ years of eligibility?  Unless Strickland just isn't very good.

Our bigs don't kick out this season.  Hasahn was pretty good at kicking out for open 3 pointers.
  12. SShoe liked a post in a topic by BillsBeliever!!! in 3 Point Shooting and Shot Selection
One of my biggest problems with this team is the fact that we barely shoot any 3 pointers. As a team we rank 39th in the NCAA in 3pt %, yet we shoot the 6th FEWEST 3 point attempts.

Lately we’ve been shooting great for three, yet we have been trying to force it inside and missing layups. Take yesterday for example, we took 54 total shots, and shot 50% from three, yet we only took 10 attempts front the arc. Same thing against Dayton, shot 5/7 from three in the first 8 minutes then didn’t take another attempt until the second half.

Jimmerson specifically should be getting at least 6-8 attempts per game yet he’s only getting 3-4. Yuri, Hargrove, Nesbitt and Jones are also decent from three and could use more attempts. Especially while two of our biggest inside threats (Linssen and Thatch) are out currently.

Not sure what UK's policies are, but their attendance was down 28% at one point earlier this year.

Sports attendance is also down nationally this past year and many sports fans say they aren't comfortable attending. Secondary ticket sales for NHL and NBA also dropped more for teams with vaccine/negative test mandates.

Some of it could be the COVID policies, but some of it is also just people being cautious/scared.

Parties at The Box ( That's how us insiders refer to Box's party pad ) are always a great time. Last time I was there he had a cocaine room, $6.50 hookers, 3 whiskey bong stations, a naked room for those that just like to party naked, and best of all a Basketball Country story hour.
If indeed there is a party at the Box, you do not want to miss it. If you show up come on in the naked room and say hi, as I'll be there most of the night.

When are you going to realize that having the vaccination isn’t going to keep you from getting Covid? 80% of those who are contracting the Omicron variant have been vaccinated. That’s why this vaccine mandate is ridiculous and completely worthless.

I'd take EWR over LGA or JFK seven days a week and twice on Sunday but my sample size is probably smaller than yours.
Too close to Christmas to attend Vegas Drake game in person but I may call Perennial Lockwood to see if they carry Flo Hoops if anyone is down to watch. If not, @Box and Won said he'd host at his house.

Will there be proof of vaccination at the game??? If not, I would recommend not attending, much too dangerous.. all Billiken fans should already know this...

With all the Collins talk, and rightfully so, it’s easy to miss that Okoro had his best game as a Bill. 17 points on 7/8 shooting, 6 boards and 3 blocks.
He finally made the bunnies he was missing earlier in the year.
I think he is starting to get his basketball legs back. Each game he plays he’s going to get stronger and his timing is going to get better.
He’s going to be a beast!

Maybe, maybe not, but it strongly reduces the chance that the person next to you has COVID.
Impact on attendance will be nominal.

i think a few of you are getting upset with a lot of us that are not wanting to get rid of ford or think he is a horrible coach overall.   i think most  of us are complaining about his game coaching and/or his player development.   but imo, he is a super recruiter and a very good motivator thus in the overall picture he might be the best coach we have ever had in my fandom.   i know i would take him over anyone during that time period (i go back to 1978).
i just think if he improved those two areas, he would make our program elite considering his ability to bring in players.   so it is very frustrating to see us be this close.   however, by no means do i want him gone.   i know the slu track record for bringing in coaches.   plus every time we get a new coach there is a "start over" period.   those have been somewhat painful over time.
so let the 3 or 4 rockheads that want to fire him just talk to themselves.   most of us discussing the coaching mistakes after these last two very frustrating losses are not on that level.
