Negative advertising doesn’t work in politics? You need to tell that to a lot of people.

People with money don't mind spending money on what they like - no sum is too much. What is eventually going to happen is that after a few years, these boosters will figure out that you can't just go out an buy championships - it just isn't that easy.

I think this is all right, but it looks like DeAndre Jones played a season at Link Year Prep after graduating from high school in Boise, played 4 seasons at Central Arkansas (only 10 games during the COVID year which didn't count anyways assuming I have that COVID season right), and one season here. I don't understand what USC boosters get from spending $2 million on a receiver. If USC doesn't win the national championship, you're just out of $2 million.

If only there were an organization that oversaw college sports, had years to prepare for this, and put some basic guidelines in place. Too bad.
