davidnark
I've got four years of eligibility left and am willing to fax my LOI at 12:01 a.m. on November 15. This program could use a heady player who maximizes his inability to shoot, jump, and dribble. Otherwise, the scholarship could go to waste. slufanskip
but the question has to be ... will you come back and play in the Alumni game? Official Billikens.com sponsor of H Waldman
slu72
No, Skip, the real question is can UB sell Nark on coming or does he end up at UMSL?
Billiken Rich
On a marginal recruit like Nark, I'm guessing Brad will want to use all 6000 evaluation visits to make a decision. Likely Nark will head to Elon College long before then.....
Box and Won
Nark clearly wants to come to SLU. He's said so numerous times and has been seen hanging out at West Pine. So how come his only offer has come from Bradley? Academic issues?
billiken_roy
having seen nark play a couple of times from afar, i believe he doesnt play defense, cant really get his own shot, is a step slow and should find a mvc team to sit on the bench with. makes one wonder if he really went to desmet instead of sluh. Billiken Rich
Does Nark have a horses hind end as a dad?????? Just curious.....
billiken_roy
no dad is all aces. the billikens want narkdad in their bleachers.
Box and Won
I'm waiting for Nark's AAU coach to come on here and start telling us about how great he is. "He'll put butts in the seats!! Who would you rather have? Nark, or some f-er from Minnesota??"
Billikenbooster
Has he been offered? What is the real deal here? My sources tell me he wants to come but has he been offered? Sorry, DoctorB mhg
billiken_roy
what we really need is a former division one player and coach to tell us the real story here. we arent capable of really sorting through what nark can bring to the billikens because we havent been there. DoctorB
the streets are whispering about Nark being wooed by either UNLV or Kansas State. plus he may not qualify anyway (low ACT score).
Billiken Rich
Doc It's just plain wrong to speculate about Narks grades. Have you talked to his teachers and the NCAA clearing house? Didn't think so! Climb back up the steps of that ivory tower and get on the phone before you start maligning a kid........
Billiken75
I don't think we make a committment to Nark until VTIME provides his input.
Battlecat455
My question is, why are we always settling for Nark? Granted, he's a local kid, but we need players that can get us to the next level. We should be offering 5 star recruits all the time. How good can Nark be if Western Illinois wasn't interested? slufanskip
Hey ... D3 players are just overlooked. Many of them including Nark can be stars at D1 schools. If Nark could improve his speed, quickness, jumping ability, shooting, dribbling, rebounding, and passing by say 488% we could use him. Really, he just needs to be red shirted. bonwich
Sorry, folks. I have it on good authority that Nark has verballed to Harris-Stowe.
slufanskip
Hardball ... add Harris Stowe to the list Official Billikens.com sponsor of H Waldman
DoctorB
big deal--verbals do not mean as much as they used to.
bonwich
Remember, Nark went to a Jesuit high school. Despite his training since then, I believe he still respects verbal contracts.
slu72
Kelvin Sampson doesn't respect them...why should Nark? Jeez, let's hope Nark doesn't turn out to be another Stemler deal...
Box and Won
Harris-Stowe, eh? That must mean that Nark is better than Drejaj. Drejaj wouldn't get off the bench at HSSU.
Billikenbooster
He's a top 100-200 pick for sure, think I saw him listed on toprecruitsinthemidwest.com. Moves well without the ball, runs the court well, great in games, may take a breather in practice from time to time. Great upside potential, lousy FT shooter. mhg
