I met thicks early in the billikens.com lifetime before a game at the old Savvis.  I found out later it was his first game in person to watch our Billikens.   I was surprised when I met him at how reserved he was in person but I came to realize that he was always pretty much in control of his emotions and passion.  What we got on the board was exactly what Mr Hicks was in person.   "Thicks" was the perfect choice for Steve to "hire" as our board monitor and he took the duty serious.   
Many (including myself) initially didn't like his seriousness doing the job.  But in hindsight, I am not sure any of the rest of us had the demeanor he did to do what he did, let alone taking all the personal written shots from anonomous hacks since all of us are hiding behind a moniker and typing words that many times were/are quite venemous.  Without his early actions on our community messageboard with his guideance and rule, who knows what this board might have evolved.   I am always amazed when I peek at other messageboards how usually,their discourse is much worse as compared to billikens.com.   We truly are a family of mbm's that are special and I think we owe a lot of what billikens.com became to Terrence. 
When he got the opportunity to move out of the St Louis area for a better job, I was happy for Terrence but I had come to love and greatly appreciate his passion for the board and the professional way he handled his assigned tasks for monitoring billikens.com.  I feared the tone of the board might actually change for the worse.     
As is the case of when many of our friends and relatives pass on, I wish I had taken the time to get to know him personally better.  Obviously that ship has now sailed and I regret never taken the small effort to get to know him better in person.   He was a good person and will be missed not only by our little community but also his circle of personal friends and relatives. 
Thanks "thicks" for all you did for our little sandbox of all things Billikens.  May you rest in peace.

Understood, but the flirtation lasted about a week. Can you blame him for exploring what's out there with NIL when SLU seemingly had little to nothing to offer at that time? At the same time, we also have a lot of fans (rightfully so) very critical for SLU to be slow in developing their NIL game. It seems to me, Yuri's flirtation was a good thing - it was a wake-up call... a catalyst for at least trying to develop a NIL strategy... which currently a lot of fans still think is not enough. Imagine how far behind SLU would be with NIL if Yuri didn't provide a wake-up call.
He's a local kid who stayed home, played all four years, became the school's all-time leading assists leader, A-10 all-time assists leader and led the nation twice in a statistical category (something I imagine has never happened in SLU history. Those are things that would typically be celebrated.

I thought Ford did a good job turning around the program, recruiting good local players, getting SLU in the upper half of the A10…but obviously the expiration date has passed.

So dramatic. People should be allowed to show support for the head coach (for whatever reason) on Billikens.com without it preluding an amateur internet witchhunt. 
If this person has been around for years they are not showing up out of no where? So they might have a connection to Ford - big whoop? 

This isn't throwing out political opinions to family or colleagues. It's a poster commenting on Billikens basketball, the head coach, and the fanbase, on the Billikens.com website.
Is it really a BIG OPINION to say that the team played hard? Or to suggest that some MBAs (the A is presumably for "a-holes") are rooting for Ford to face plant every time out? 
Again, no relation to our gal Maria, but they have been around for years. I must've missed where they told others they couldn't have a different opinion? Voicing a little frustration seems to be the norm around here, so surely that isn't the issue?
How many MBMs does it take to shout down one (1) poster who made two (2) posts in a GDT of 250+?
