Losing to detroit and having 3 top players missing and lots of silence will do that

I'm so tired of this nonsense.
And now that it's causing us to lose, I'm not sure why I bother with this program.  Why should I show up on Tuesday?  Why should I donate?
Following SLU basketball is like getting kicked in the nuts over and over and over again.  We occasionally get a short break from it, then it starts up again.

Fordham into the Elite 8. Great season for the A10

The game is at LaSalle so I'd try their board

I've never been a Bishop fan but I'll play him all 40 if it means Hines stays on the bench. Hines wasn't close to the only problem tonight but he has to understand his role and ability

I think it’s time that [Disparaging reference to SLU's president] put this whole issue to bed.

[Disparaging reference to SLU's president], let Henriquez and Bishop play.

But the players are still students at the school and will likely be able to play within a month. Why would that change Beckys mom's opinion?

Please don’t interrupt this riveting discussion of Harris Stowe’s basketball history.

I figure we interact w/ fans on other forms of social media...so why not?
I don't know the answers to every question but I'm happy to help out when I can.

The 3 have been practicing for the past month. I'm not too worried but definitely surprising.

I'll take a Ford recruit over a Crews recruit every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I love Majerus but his comment about "starting is for high school" is dumb. Starting matters and the players care about it

13 is right, but the thing is you don't even understand what Majerus meant When he used that statement/

This sounds great and it is what marketing people will try to sell you.  It is complete BS.  People go to sporting event to watch the sporting event first.  If that part of the product is crap, nothing else matters.  If people want to pay to be entertained by music or a circus act, people will pay to go to a concert or the circus instead.  The other entertainment should be used to get people there early and to keep them at the event if the game gets out hand so they spend more money at the game.
What I don't understand about basketball is the half-time entertainment.  It is stupid.  You don't want to keep people in their seats at the most obvious time for them to spend money at the concession stand.

Realistically how much longer can they close practice?
Doesnt give any opportunities for media interviews.
Less"buzz" about the team going into the season.

Some people blame the alleged victims without evidence, some blame the alleged assaulters without evidence, and then you have local media who WANT someone to have been sexually assaulted so that they have a story to tell and they blame SLU when they can't.

If they had an open practice with interviews today that would have, again, been a brutal HR move. I certainly don't think we're in the clear but none of these recent announcement have given me any concern.

I think the reason for Rich's post was that posting the UNews article without comment added no value to the thread.

The best available players are always going to be paid whether the one and one rule exists or not. If Jordan Goodwin is the #1 recruit who is not going to go straight to the NBA, schools will try to pay him to come to their school.
