He's here with SLU72 changing his name to HW Plainview, his son and business partner.

If a shooter’s legs get tired it affects his shot. Is the season wearing Gibby down and is that why he’s gone cold in the last 3-4 games. His shot is off. They’re not rimming and falling out. They’re short, sometimes long, and not soft.

CJS is at the extreme for bench usage. Jimerson is in the top 2 for minutes played. I watched him at Fordham up close he's in a 40 minute war. Over the course of a season it takes a toll.
Even if your don't think it's a valid reason for poor shooting, developing players through game play is a valid reason to use the bench more. This season a starter maybe injured (already happened) and next season someone on the bench may need to be a key contributor.
There's a risk reward at play. Taking out your best players risks the current game. Not playing your bench risks future games. Perhaps a constant cycle of transfers mitigates the need to develop your bench but it doesn't mitigate it for possible in season injuries.

We missed layups. Pikar blew a dunk. And our 3 point shooting was abysmal even though they were open good looks. We are not real good on D, especially on the inside, and can be bullied. The only route to a W is to outshoot the other team with 3’s. We had numerous opportunities to get their lead down to 3 or 4 in the second half but just couldn’t hit 3s or even layups. And our passes at times left a lot to be desired. The film session on this game should be very instructive.

They lost because they couldn’t knock down open shots…end of story

I definitely think it’s a good sign if you don’t play well and still win comfortably…. If we defended like we did at the start of the season, we probably lose last night.

Dunphy looks like Marley from Christmas Carol. He should be draped in chains.

Mason’s very physical with an M1 Tank in the low post. From what I saw against GW was D is their strength. They’ll be a bad matchup for us.

Be nice but 13-5 more realistic. There will be a stumble vs a team we should beat.

I agree about Gibby being a constant distraction to the opponents D. They have to keep at least one guy on him at all times. And he’s shown recently he’ll take it to the hoop off the dribble.

It always happens. I fear OT coming up. 2:40 left 2 pt game. GM has an immovable object in the post. He’ll be a problem for us.

My advice is have faith. Anything can happen in 4 days. I do believe this team is capable of beating any A10 team. They just have to play a little more physical. Schertz will likely stress this more going forward.

Men v boys last night. Reminded me of the Santa Clara and WSU games. Bully ball vs finesse. Finesse can win vs Bullies but not when you get trashed in the battle of the boards. But really nothings changed for us regarding a dance invite. We need to win in DC come March. We’re not gonna win out in the A10. What we have to do is win at home and not lose road games to teams we should beat. Last night was a game we were likely to lose, albeit not by 16 points, so let’s not start ringing the sky is falling alarm. Get in the top 4 and win the tourney is not an impossible dream. Hopefully, last nights gut punch serves as a wake up call to these guys that the A10 has physical teams and they’ve got to cowboy up when you face the bullies.

Schertz: “Grown men vs. boys. I’ve never had a team get physically manhandled like that. Our lack of physicality was galling. It was a physical beatdown. Humbling and embarrassing. I knew the first half was fool’s gold with some of the shots we were making.”

13-1 offensive boards to VCU. That’s been the game.

It seems to me switching D’s appears to cause disruptions in the opponents game plans. It takes them awhile to adjust to a different D.
