I for one am sad to see him go. Always thought he might be our most skilled player. Injuries and inconsistency seemed to be his calling card, however. I think he can find a home at a high mid where he'll be a solid contributor. Kind of reminds me of the Jalen Johnson transfer 2 years back. Will not be surprised to see him be a starter somewhere else. Good luck, DJ. Thanks for your efforts and good luck at your new school. I knew we wouldn't escape the portal unscathed. I hope he's the end of it, though. 

Slufan13, thanks for providing the stats that backs up what many of us on here have been thinking about the post Covid stretch. For whatever the reason, we changed our style. 
In no game was this more evident then our biggest most important game of the year, the semi loss to St. B's. It cost us a dance invite. Against a team we easily had outmanned we decided to go with Bully Ball. Pound it inside and hope Has his little hook working or that JGood will be there to clean up the mess. The only problem was St. B's had a robovac on the inside that sucked up our shots like the black hole in space sucks up stars. And the surprising thing is we kept doing it over and over again completely satisfying Einstein's definition of insanity. 
Not knowing what JGood or even Has' plans are for the future shouldn't matter to Ford. He's got the same stats as you and should see the benefit of this team being a running team far outweighs the hardhat style. Of course, the roster's not filled out yet, so we have to see what types the portal will deliver. But if it does nothing, with the athletes we have our game plan should be to push the rock and put the other team on it's heels.  

Someone, just glad it's not my decision. For example, whose Penny gonna run off at Messphis. He's way overcommitted isn't he. It's just the way it is these days. I don't like it. It reeks of a broken contract, but this has become a cutthroat business.

Good offensive player, but Rick didn't like his D. McCall finally got the message and worked hard on it to become one of our better defenders during his tenure here. Sounds like McKissick has already got the message and excels at D. You can't have enough guys who really like playing D.

This should be the mantra for every tourney game. Take nothing for granted.

I don't care for all this talk about getting to the final and then conceding to VCU, St. B's, or whoever. This team has the talent to take the whole enchilada just like '19. Ford's teams usually peak in late Feb early March. Granted, not so this year probably due to covid. Although, I still don't understand the UD complete meltdown. But VCU was a good game, albeit Bones did not play. Tonight's game will hopefully not be in doubt towards the end. But we need to go into Richmond with confidence and just win the whole damn thing. Otherwise, I think we're on the outside looking in. This is not the way JGood and Has wanted to go out.

I agree with B'roy on this. He's not catching the pass at the right time or in the right position. I don't think he's been pressured on a lot of his misses. Rather, I don't think he's getting the ball in the right flow and that affects his rhythm. In fact I've seen him catch it flat footed wide open and miss. The best example I can give of a shooter catching the ball on the move that gets him in rhythm is the 3 point shooting contests. The guy is moving to a new position and catches the ball in motion and releases. It's a lot different than just standing there motionless and tossing up a shot. 

I really respect your posts, but I think you’re a little off base here. French surely looked into it last night. JGood appears into it every game. I do think Perkins is down a bit as he’s finding it harder to score at will since the A10 knows him better. It’s why I think he should return.  Yurimania’s been nicked up. Not making excuses just my observations. 

No doubt the 33 day Plague layoff hurt us in the momentum department. It’s hard to get restarted. I just hope the find the turbo button from here on out. If we can win these last 2 and the tourney we might get back the mojo everyone thought we had 5 months ago.
