That's two additional NCAA appearances. Three NCAA tournaments in a four year period, even if it resulted in no wins, would still make us one of the top mid major programs in the country. You blame Coach Ford's for the injuries, Covid and Situation 2. I think part of it is Ford and a lot of it is just bad luck. Ultimately it doesn't matter what the reasons are. If he can't figure a way to turn the ship around, his days are numbered. You make your luck. He’s not the only coach in the country to go through adversity. You are right - maybe the best argument for moving on is that he is jinx
3star_recruit
We don't have a spare 17 ppg scorer sitting on the bench. The next man up is going to be a young guy with little experience or an older guy who is just a role player. That's just how roster depth stacks up at the mid-major level. Your most talented scorer better be healthy for the vast majority of the season or the regular season is effectively over. That will be true no matter who the coach is. Can one of our young guys develop into a consistent double figure scorer over the next 6 weeks? I think it's possible. But we're going to be a below .500 team while he's getting reps during that stretch.

I've said before he is easy to root for. Again he is not the problem. He's also not going to solo us to a tourney like the Legend. Was there a point to this? This is pro sports and these guys are paid to make tournaments. Not just Ford but also the players now.
