HoosierPal
https://billikensblog.wordpress.com/2015/05/19/versatile-welmer-getting-a-head-start/ Did he grow an inch this past season? He's mentioned as 6'10" in this article. He was 6'9" when he signed.
Cowboy
-EW, enjoy your time at SLU in all aspects -let's hope he can contribute
WVBilliken
Neufeld, Welmer, Jolly, Gillmann. When is the last time SLU had that kind of size? Now lets hope some can be Wisconsin type bigs that can shoot, defend and rebound.
3star_recruit
Bo Ryan has been bringing in high major bigs for 10 years now. I'd settle for St. Mary's bigs. Neufeld and Welmer are a step in the right direction.

Old guy
If you are going to ask for anything, why not asking for this kind of recruits?
AlumniFan
Not asking for much just the same kinda bigs that get you to a national title game.... Absolutely reasonable!!!
Dwayne's_World
I don't know why, but I just have this good feeling about Welmer. I'm positive Neufeld will be a stud, but for some reason I have this hunch that Welmer will also be an impact player.

Irishdude
Having read thru some of the hoosier blogs, there are many IU faithful that feel the hoosiers messed up by letting Welmer go.
RiseAndGrind
Does he have a buzzed head hair cut? If so, I'm already counting on him being Sam Dekker. B
Dwayne's_World
I've seen Welmer around campus a few times already, he looks a lot bigger and more filled out than I thought he was.
doowop
Welmer may just be a better ball player than many on here think.
chillinthemost
Welmer may just be a better ball player than many on here think. There is no chance of that - he was not a highly rated recruit.
Irishdude
I won't be suprised if he and Matt both turn out to be studs. Just reading what people close to both of them say leads me to believe they will be some good big men, especially Matt who could be the best big we have had in many years. kshoe
Welmer may just be a better ball player than many on here think. Well the bar on this board has been set incredibly low so I'd say if he contributes at all it will exceed many people's expectations. VeniceMenace
Welmer may just be a better ball player than many on here think. I'd say the chances of Welmer exceeding expectations this coming season are 50/50.

Scoop
How tall does he look? I've seen him tabbed from 6'8" to 6'10".
Booze Crews
I saw Welmer and possibly Bishop playing at the rec the other day with some returning guys (MY, MC, BJ, DR) as well as some veterans (KM, JJ). He looked more toward the 6'10" region compared to everyone else out on the floor. I also agree he looked more filled out than I thought he would be but definitely not big. I didn't watch a ton but I did notice he looked more coordinated than I thought he would be as well.
