No idea how it will end up, but why would he go through all of this drama of not signing earlier just to sign w Illinois at the last minute? At the same time, most of the buzz seems to be about him sticking with Illinois. The only thing I've really learned during this is that Illinois fans really despise Cliff Alexander (for good reason) and have a bit of an inferiority complex which is perhaps related.
