I think because there's been such a long period since his verbal commitment (October 2016) and there has been so much noise in terms of rumors and media and whatnot since then, we've mostly forgotten what a HUGE F-ING DEAL it is that Carte'Are Gordon is at SLU.
His boy Tyler is right. All he's done is win. He's arguably the most talented player we've landed since Larry Hughes, and I think only Goodwin is the other one with a potential claim in there.
Even the most rabid SLU fans seem to put a caveat before every half-positive statement about CG these days. "Well, that highlight video only showed dunks. Kinda one dimensional." "That two-week suspension has me a little nervous." "There's a lot of noise on Twitter, I'm not so sure about this." And then Frank's statement yesterday.
Come on.
He's on campus and he's already working out. A guy he's close enough with to be featured next to him in his Twitter profile picture just said he's finna turn SLU up, and I tend to agree with him. CG is the real deal. I'm going to set aside any apprehensions or perpetually beaten down SLU fan nervousness and go all in on this one.

I was at school of ed graduation ceremony today and walked in behind Rashed. He stood the entire time on the side of the church (seemed to be by himself), applauded when Davell got called, and celebrated with him after the ceremony was over. Shows what kind of teammate he must have been this past year. Great support.

True story. I drove past Dubourg today on Lindell and decided that honking while at a light would make me feel better. A student stopped and had me roll down my window to ask what my problem was. I said "Free Goodwin". He responded "F.uck Fred. Carry on."

maybe im naive but the fact that there was suspensions and expulsions means there mustve been some likely evidence of rape.......of course we will never know everything going on in the case it is all speculation,,, but of course there must have been some misconduct and some evidence or testimony to result in such a harsh punishments,,, yeah it sucks for the team,,, but people should look at the flipside and consider if these girls were raped,,, it takes a lot for an average girl to open up about a rape incident these days,,more often then not a girl will never speak of an incident again then go and exaggerate or make up an incident,,, this dude who posted first really seems inconsiderate,, i know a lot would like to believe ,,,,oh the girl is just crying wolf at making it up,,, but to think realistically about this situation,, something unethical likely happened,,,,, guess its different if it was your daughter,,,, a lot of you seem super inconsiderate to the fact these girls were possibly raped by strong athletes,,,anyway if these "athletes" were in close relationships with the girls in the first place or in serious relationships rather then just trying to hook up this would never happen anyway,,, i honestly don't wont any of these on SLUs team... maybe im the first person to say I dont want the kids on the team,,,, and them for what they supposedly did,,, i wish they wouldve suspended all three of them,,,
we could easily be 6-1 in A-10 if our shots fell so thats some good news
