  1. Just secured my first year of season tickets for the billikens. While it sucks that Javonte lost this year to injury, I was a billikens fan before, and will be a billikens fan after. THIS WILL BE A GREAT YEAR FOR BILLIKEN BASKETBALL!

  3. Here's one I did a few years back. I printed a picture, taped it on, stenciled the outline through the paper and then started cutting.

  4. 1st half we didn't look for easy opportunities. This billiken roster is built to play fast. Mistake to play half court

  5. Traore had 3 fouls in 6 minutes himself. And I didn’t realize it, but Okoro actually fouled out in 12 minutes of play.

  6. A few takeaways that for those not able to be there: 1. The close score through a lot of the game isn’t as big of a concern as it may seem. Most of the runs that Lindenwood had occurred when we didn’t have our best guys on the floor. 2. This is Yuris team. He’s much more confident scoring the ball and can easily take over the game. 3. Nesbitt is raw, but really talented. Give him some time to get acclimated to the college game and he can be an A-10 first teamer imo. Had a much better offensive showing than he did in the first exhibition. 4. I’m concerned about our depth at PG. I know Nesbitt can take over those duties when needed but we don’t have a real back-up PG. DeAndre Jones did not look good at all. 5. Our depth at the five might get hairy at the end of games. We all know how foul-prone Linssen is but Okoro seems to have some of the same qualities.

  7. This definitely was a concern today. Linssen showed last season a propensity to foul. Today, Okoro did the same. Traore better develop quickly.

  10. I will say that Nesbitt has looked good too. Out of control at times but he’s always running at 100%. Otherwise I agree, especially when it comes to 3pt defense

  12. Courtside, in all the years you have watched SLU, which team of the 20 years would you rate as comparable to this year’s team? They feel like the SLU of old with the possession and quick passes but have an edge with the team pressing. They just dominate teams right now. Just a machine you expect to win. I was thinking back to Brad Davis’s teams as being the closest and that group of freshman that were led by Vedad and company. Thoughts? Also if you haven’t been to Hermann lately, I would suggest it. With the new facility coming in quickly on the south side, it is becoming an awesome confine for the team.

  13. Good luck this season. Hope all you Billiken fans stay healthy. And if you can please make the road trip to Olean this year. It really is a GREAT little community. They even built a new Hotel here this year!

  14. Perkins going down hurts I feel terrible for him and his teammates. That said I think it helps that this happened now as opposed to game 10. It gives them more practice time without their all conference stud. A loss of Perkins caliber in the middle of the season can completely derail a team. Happening in preseason game 1 gives them plenty of time to regroup and have a NCAA tourney season.
