  3. This is valid, not all people react the same to altitude
  4. How long has Jokic been living in Denver?
  5. I didn't run a marathon while I was there but did do some fairly strenuous cardio in Denver in April without issue
  6. Sombor, Serbia has an elevation of 295 feet. Nikola Jokic has somehow managed to overcome is birth and childhood at sea level to become a 3 time MVP in Denver (elevation over 5,000 feet). "Never underestimate the lungs of a champion." - Rudy Tomjanovich's Pulmonologist (probably)
  7. Adaptation to high altitude suitable for most people leading normal lives is not the same as adaptation that allows you to play basketball in D1. Can you get the concept that you need a hell of a lot more effort and a much greater oxygen consumption than what normal people need when you are playing D1 basketball competitively?
  8. This is correct to some extent, but not a good argument. We did not go against anyone after being eliminated during the A10 tournament. ISU played and beat every team that went against them in the NIT, with the exception of the last game. Their team did play and win against A10, ACC, Big 12, and similar level teams during the NIT.
  9. Another large factor in my argument is that there may be weight to the ISU guys' numbers being put up against Valley competition and our guys up against Ivy, A10, ACC, and Big 12 competition. It's a safe assumption to make that those guys at that level would have higher counting stats inherently.
  10. True. That would be pretty cool. They need to get Clohisy as many ABs as possible. So nice to have him back.
  11. There's program season wins record on the table.
  12. You are assuming that a person would not adapt over time to the higher elevation which is not true. I have been in higher elevation areas numerous times - 7K is not much higher than Denver. Normally after a few days whatever impact being at the higher elevation may have on a person has dissipated significantly. If you are living in the area you will make that adaptation and have a normal life there. I am sorry you don't understand this but this is the truth.
  13. HANG ANOTHA BANNER!!!! CONFERENCE CHAMPS!!!!!! Since an at large is out of the question, lets play some freshman, get rested up, and win the damn tournament!!!!
  14. I'm more appalled at the subsequent conversation than a High School head coach doing a photoshoot with his state championship rings.
  15. Billikens up 3-0 in the 4th. 1st game of a double dip.
  16. You can do two things: 1. Talk with A-Bomb and find out what it is like. 2. Take a trip to S. America and go to Machu Picchu, or Bogota and find out yourself what it is like. You could also go to Laramie and try to run around a block.
  17. The high elevation is only a problem when mixed with ice cubes formed in low elevation.
  18. It is pretty clearly a staged photo. I highly doubt Irons is walking around every day with his fingers full of massive ass rings like Prince John from the Disney Robin Hood cartoon.
  19. Wow, we really need some real recruiting news.
  20. Agreed. High altitude training.......it's a thing but not that much of a thing. If he played half of his games at sea level it would balance out anyway
  21. Using your logic then nobody should go to schools in higher elevation. Unless a player has some type of a respiratory issue it is moot. You are over hyping this issue.
  22. Never really discussed finances with people. Wouldn’t you say that’s a faux-pas, conversation wise?
