Interesting article today at STLtoday. Seems like we never get home cooking. Maybe I am bias. I was surprised to read this,

The Billikens benefit by having nearly three fewer fouls called against them each game than what's provided by the median home-court advantage, according to Pomeroy's formula. That's sixth-best in the country.

Pomeroy's home-court advantage metrics are based on the last 60 home and road conference games, so it goes far beyond this season.

Great the refs will read this and play the make up game.  On the serious side - I wonder if both teams totals are lower at our house.

I think we could have the foul advantage and still have ref bias. If you have a team that is a goon squad (fouling on nearly every play)  the refs will call more fouls on the other team BUT will not call all of them  so you could still have the foul advantage and ref bias.

We'd be number 1 in the country if Kshoe still hammered the refs like he did in his prime.

I know. Getting older stinks and trying to not embarrass yourself in front of the kids is tough. But Friday may be a return to the old days...

I haven't reached that magical age yet.  I still embarrass myself almost every game.

I totally agree with this.   A team that plays ultra aggressively eventually it becomes accepted to some degree by the refs.   Tuesday night I yelled at the ref after a ticky tac foul called on us that at that time we had twice the number of fouls even though VCU was the far more aggressive defense.
