The two, last shot and previous possessions, are not mutually exclusive. Also, SLU missed too may layups and bunnies. The last shot was a pure luck situation, but had the ball bounced SLU's way on the rebound of the intentionally missed free throw, SLU still would have won that game, irrespective of everything else. As fate would have it, it was the first time I have ever seen fouling up 3 at the end backfire.

Great Advancement. Billikens overcome bush league, Stanford level hooliganism by Bryant students positioned behind SLU Goalie. They were moved a bit to the Goalie’s left from directly behind the goal for the PK’s. Was that the first time Stanford and Bryant were included in the same sentence?

I just watched the replay. Robbie did block out. The Stanford big from the right other side of the lane came clear across the lane to the left, the rebound came to him, he kicked out to the little guard on the left side baseline who buried the 3. It looked like the 2 Stanford bigs cross-crossed. That had to be a set play, but it was still a miracle that went against SLU. The ball bounced Stanford’s way.
