We did need a game like this one. Called character building. It reminded me of the SIEU game of 22-23. We were supposed to blow them away and we were then we entered the twilight zone. Blew a big lead to a far inferior team and the season got flushed down the toilet. That team was selfish. Today proved this team has toughness. No, we didn’t win by 30 but they also didn’t get down on themselves. Hopefully lessons learned today was any team can wreck your season, but if you tough itt out they can’t beat you.

They needed a game like this. Just to show them you can’t take ANY team lightly. I’m sure Santa Clara is licking their wounds after the Loyola game. It can happen to any team. No doubt Schertz has built a versatile talented roster. You never know who’s gonna be our player of the game; tonight it was Brady Threelap.

In a way you need a game like this just to show you anyone can bite u in the butt.

Keep expecting one of those 12 pt outbursts. This is a game like that SIUE game back in 22-23. Got to put them away soon.

They’re a different style from Rick’s team which excelled at executing half court sets and D. This squad looks to run you into the ground with layups and slams then as backup look for the 3 ball. Both teams try to dominate the boards and our D has been improving both trademarks of Rick’s teams. Different schemes and both have their pluses and minuses. The minus for this team is the tendency to play too fast and turn it over too much. However, recent games have seen fewer TOs. Could be they are learning on the run.

Liberty beat them with a small lineup that’s not as fast or quick as ours.

Liberty shoots down the Flyers. I can see our push it style of play causing UD problems.

Watching UD v Liberty. Place is packed and loud as usual. Can’t help but be envious of their fan base. I get they’re the only game in town, but St Louis metro area is considerably larger. One would think we would draw more than 5000 a game by just pulling in fans of hoops. As for UD they don’t look overwhelming and are giving up 3s. But we know they won’t be a pushover.
