  1. So you like Chris May or nah?
  2. I'll say it, he's a joy thief.
  3. The Champions Sitter if you will.
  4. To the first paragraph, I don't know the specific hierarchy at SLU, but it appears the AD is a direct report to the President. At most Universities that is the structure and looking at the slu.edu, I don't really see a likely higher director over the AD. I do agree these type of actions usually involve notifying or consulting high level boosters. As to the 2nd paragraph, it's highly unusual for no statement even a vague statement hinting at the reason for firing the most tenured/successful coach at the school. This leads to speculation. This is year 18 of the AD, and a few of us want him gone. I don't recall any vendetta year 1, 2, 3 and on until a few seasons ago. That's a pretty reasonable, patient, fanbase. As to the Field Hockey thread, I'm now the Chaifetz of Field Hockey and they're winning.
  5. Academy customer service followed up and is using Fedex this time. 2 collapsible, blue benches are on the way. Unclear what happened to the other two that were randomly dumped by Door Dash in the general vicinity of Chaifetz Arena.
  6. Do you think it's normal for a University Athletic Department to provide no statement? This is what happens in an information vacuum people speculate.
  7. Also proving our point that the AD is inadequate at communicating to the fan base and public.
  8. Another example of the SLU AD information vacuum. A normal AD would make a follow up statement, "Coach X didn't represent the values of University Y and so we decided to part ways." That tells you it was wrong doing. Or, "Coach X failed to achieve the competitive standards of University Y." That tells you it's performance. Or, "Coach X decided to seek other opportunities, University Y thanks him for his time here and wishes him the best. " Something like that, vague but gives an indication. Time and time again SLU AD thinks that in the information age they can just not say anything. That's worse than making a statement. It's organizational communication 101.
  9. I swear Door Dash can't find Chaifetz Arena!!!!
  10. Interim Coach U!!!
  11. Blue Ribbon was the best maybe still is the best. Athlon was OK, Lindy's was bad. I used to love getting all the preseason magazines. I even used to get the fantasy baseball and football previews too. Phil Steele is #1 for all you degenerate gamblers.
  12. Peak Off Season
  13. In big Field Hockey news Door Dash thwarted my efforts to get the team a bench. Apparently me telling the Dasher to deliver to "Chaifetz Arena" on the phone was confusing. So here's where it went. I'm assuming this is Grand Forest Apartments, anyone want to go fish this out of the bushes?
  14. You two are wishcasting. Deep down in places you don't talk about at your Ladue cocktail parties, you agree with me. NIL and something like collectives are still a thing. To bring it back to SLU, I hope we're not ignoring this reality.
  15. Ok How do you stop this? https://hornswithheart.org/ TLDR: approved 501c that pays Texas athletes to show up for charity appearances. Special emphasis for offensive linemen to sign up. Where there's a will there's a way. The law/rules/regulations will always be playing catch up.
