slufanskip
1. H Waldman 2. Erwin Claggett 3. Larry Hughes 4. Jeff Harris 5. Ian Voyoukas I decided to do this as a team that would actually play instead of just going all 3 2 guards. Marque is my favorite Bill ... but we need a true pg and H is the best we have had, with Larry who is a scorer, not really an outside shooter ... I wanted Erwin to bust the zone. Ian and Jeff are gimme's imo. Next 5 1. Marque Perry 2. Justin Love 3. Scott Highmark 4. Jamaal Johnson 5. David Robinson Honorable Mention Maurice Jeffers Donnie Dobbs Tommie Liddell Kevin Lisch In 2 years maybe 1 ... Tommie and Kevin will probably move up my list ... The only person in the top 10 to not have 2 full years is Jamaal Johnson, but with the lack of good bigs since '90 ... he has to be included. I like this thread Official Billikens.com sponsor of H Waldman Official Sponser of the Stemmler and Ahearn could and would have helped club. slufanskip
No oversight. I got to St.Louis in Feb 90. Listened to some games on the radio that year ... but didn't really see Bonner play. thetorch
I think we should preface this with the first year you were a fan to give other posters an idea of who you are choosing. I first remembered attending games in about 84-85. G - Larry Hughes G - Erwin Claggett SF - Roland Gray PF - Anthony Bonner C - Ian Voyoukas Bench - PG Marque Perry, SG Monroe Douglas, SG Justin Love, SG/SF Scott Highmark, PF Jeff Harris, PF Donnie Dobbs, PF/C Jamal Johnson H, Jeffers, Pee Wee, Newberry, Quitman, MacCauley, Fischer and Cobbin will have to walk on. RUBillsFan
I'm gonna go with Billiken teams of the last 5 years eventhough I watched Dobbs, Claggett, H, and Highmark I was like 7 or 8 years old so I don't remember it all that well. Probably after Larry Hughes and Justin Love is what I remember best. So here goes... PG Josh Fisher G Kevin Lisch G Marquee Perry F Chris Sloan C Ian Vouyoukas Off the bench Tommie Liddel, Kenny Brown (defense only), Reggie Bryant (shooting), Maurice Jeffers, Luke Meyer, Izik Ohanon, Anthony Drejaj
billiken_roy
so many good guards. that makes it tough. i am assuming we had to see em play to rank them. otherwise everyone would have easy ed on the list. g - david burns- still the fastest billiken i ever saw g - larry hughes - the most talented college player i ever saw live g - justin love - what he did in 2000 was amazing. f - anthony bonner - the greatest billiken i ever saw f - gray and douglass - saved the program 2nd team g - h waldman - no better point guard g - erwin claggett - quickest release i ever saw. g - kevin lisch - two and half more years of the purest basketball player ever to wear the billiken uni f - scott highmark - the guy was a winner c - ian vouyoukas - truly is the best billiken center ever 3rd team g - tommie liddell banking on what's to come g - marque perry - amazing finish to his career g - josh fisher - the fact duane wade still wakes up at night sweating and thinking of fisher puts him on the list f - jamal johnson - shame he didnt get to play with claggett and highmark f - mo jeffers - greatest billiken dunk ever over the messiah guy from st bonnie's honorable mention - jeff luechtifeld, jeff harris, donnie dobbs, reggie bryant, izik ohannon, quitman dillard, charlie newberry,
Sheltiedave
The three players I would build around all made it to the ABA/NBA. Harry Rogers, Anthony Bonner, and Larry Hughes. For the point guards, H Waldman had the best court vision and handle, David Burns had the speed, and Jimmy Irving was the quickest defensive guard on the ball. At shooting guard, it would be tough to beat out Kevin Lisch, Justin Love, and Erwin Claggett. At F/C, Ian V., Billy Morris, Jamall Johnson, and McKinney would be very sweet. Wiley could throw other forwards into the seats.

DoctorB
this is my 9th year at SLU. Marquee is the best college player I have seen at SLU. He could take over games, and I do not recall being able to say that about any other Bill since my arrival in 1998.
