ACE
His team ends the season on a 17-game losing streak. I never understood why there would seem to be some people on this board who used to think this guy was good. He had assembled some decent talent at one point, but they all bailed on him. Not sure how the guy can survive one of the worst seasons in league history.
MichaelC
Hard to disagree, that kind of losing streak would be hard to produce even if you were trying to do it on purpose. I guess the question for their AD would be, is there any reason to believer next year will be any better?
brianstl
Heading into this season he had the best winning percentage of any coach at Duquesne since 1974, but it sure as in the hell went to crap this year. Duquesne itself is probably big part of the problem. His arc there is pretty similar to Everhart’s there. Both peeked in year 3. That said, when it falls apart as bad as it did for the Dukes, the coach has got to get the blame. Pretty surprising given his track record this happened. He did a very good job at Akron. You can’t end the season with a 17 game losing in your fifth season on the job.

Fair, that losing streak is impossible to defend or justify.
HoosierPal
Didn’t the announcer say he has something like the 4th youngest team in the nation? And Dayton was younger.

Bringing him back should be a sentence to go play in the MAAC

You would think he was the only fifth year coach to end the season on a 17 game losing streak. Patrick Ewing, also in his fifth season may end the season on a 20 game losing streak, depending on tonight’s game. Ewing recently got a vote of confidence, which I get, but he should go back to being an assistant in the pros.
Compton
Nothing makes our loss @UMass look worse than Duquesne.

That pattern seems to be common for coaches when going to a new school. It is not uncommon to see the coach get a bump in recruiting when arriving but sustaining it becomes the real challenge. brianstl likes this
AnkielBreakers
On a somewhat related topic, why did Marc Smith and Xavier Pinson bail on Mizzou?

And then bashing some of the kids on the way out the door is a bad look - an act of desperation. It's not a problem with the kids, to borrow your words "it's a Keith problem."
