SLU_Billiken
2 things are certain: 1) we aren't an ncaa team 2) manning needs to find another sport We are definitely not. We could not blow out a team we supposed to destroy. Manning plays like an idiot. However, we might see some improvement along the way. Some of our freshmen look promising. Billikenboy
Well I say play your top line up and let the kids grow. Too many players no continuity.....
SLU_Nick
50 something percent from the FT line did us in
joe_davola
The one positive about a terrible loss....watching billikens.com go into full meltdown mode. Sit back and enjoy the show.
slu72
Actually, CC ain't that bad. Couple of all conference guys, the Egyptian kid looked good, and we'd kill to have Pie kid.
Quality Is Job 1
Defense is a problem with a young team — can't let someone come into your building and shoot 50 percent. And free throws: ugh!
slu72
No meltdown, Joe, we knew we'd have these kind of games. Our two vets let us down today, AM and JM.
JettFlight5
Lot of young mistakes and bad FT shooting are a bad combination. Coach Crews, it's your move.
gravilst
AM going 0-4 from the 3 and having several turnovers. He doesn't play like a PG. Would be nice to see someone step up with great ball control and the ability to manage the offense. He looks for himself to score too much. Cringed when he shot those 2 contested (NBA range) 3s at the end. Not something you usually see out of an upperclassman.
Feed the Reed - Dags
Maybe a nice humiliating wake-up call for the young players. We knew these losses would come. Optimistically, maybe its better it happens early so that the new talent stay humble and know they have a lot to work on still. It did feel as if we had almost no one who was remotely a leader on the floor except for AY. On paper we have a few seniors and juniors but in reality it seems AY is the only legitimate leader right now.
thetorch
Some of us will come back down to earth now. I still think this team can make a postseason tournament.
slu72
Honestly, it would be difficult to shorten the rotation unless you remove JM and start to limit McB's minutes. Go w/ the FR during OOC play. This CC team had a lot of vets, and some good ones.

Feed the Reed - Dags
I felt like every time Manning was on the floor, our team was instantly worse.
gravilst
But it was nice to see lancona contribute. DR and MY looked really good. JM is becoming almost unbearable to watch. Is he possibly still hurt? I know he didnt have a whole lot of bright spots last year....but thus far its really not looking good for him. One other thing, the turnovers have been abundant the past 3 games. Anyone confident that gets better by conference play? Cant imagine how many TO we'll have against VCU if not. Billikenboy
Young team but Coach may have to go to a 9-10 man rotation to make this work. Guys need to have better understanding of each other in games to grow into a stronger team. For now too many pieces and all pieces may not work everday.
