slufan13
HTB had a couple of retweets today involving recruiting. "Johnny Woodard was offered a scholarship by Saint Louis. #MNPreps" "Zach Lofton is headed down to Saint Louis to visit in three weeks." Nate also had an interesting retweet "Saint Louis Head Coach Rick Majerus /assistant Al Jensen were watching ESPNU Super 60 Nolan Berry workout this morning at 6:30 am." Woodard: http://rivals.yahoo.com/texas/basketball/recruiting/player-Johnny-Woodard-105951 http://espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/110568/jonny-woodard Lofton: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/107860/zack-lofton http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Zach-Lofton-113605 Woodard seems like he'd be a good get. Don't know if we need another guard though.
bk18
Doesn't that make us full for next year? Jared Drew and Woodard? Losing BC and KC.
AnkielBreakers
Doesn't that make us full for next year? Jared Drew and Woodard? Losing BC and KC. We are never 'full.' One scholly is already gone, so the other will go first come first serve.

Sorry I just read this really quickly and misread. I thought it was a signing at first. My bad.
Franchise_08
Wow, I guess if you aren't recruited by Duke, North Carolina, Red Sox, or Yankees, then ESPN doesn't recognize your existence. Terrible effort.
thetorch
It was mentioned on twitter that we have extended an offer to Lofton as well.

Don't know if we need another guard though. So Majerus was up in Minnesota watching kids play and offering scholarships? One word - lazy! I watched some video and read up on these two. They both appear to be athletic, scoring 2 guards. Woodard looks like a big strong kid. Reminds me a little of Justin Love. In Billikenland we can always use more athleticism and scoring. Majerus seems to have recruited a lot up in MN in recent year and also Indy this past year, still looking at players in Chicago and Wisconsin. How does he do it without Porter? The Pelican
How does he do it without Porter? I read on the Internet that he told the kids that Porter still works for him. Biancardi takes a cardboard cutout of RM to their games - RM never goes.
Cowboy
How does he do it without Porter? -i think like this, according to skip who knows stuff...Rick brought half dozen scrambled eggs with ham, sausage, bacon, and 3 kinds of cheeses. Along with that he brought biscuits and gravy, home fries, and an order of pancakes with homemade syrup made mith 4 varieties of fresh Berries. superslu
Don't know if we need another guard though. I don't think Rick will hesitate to bring in a quality player. If the current guys can't handle it they'll get passed over. Can you have too many guards? It didn't take too much on this Canadian trip to have Ellis playing point. jigga
Lofton is the real deal. Most underrated player in the state.he's more like 6'3 and still growin not 6'2 Better than MN Mr. basketball. Led the state of MN in scoring last season 30pts a game. Led his team to the State championship game. Pure scorer with great b-ball IQ Majerus did the right thing offering this kid before the bigger schools start trying to get him. reminds me of steph curry. watch him drop 53 point on a very good mpls washburn team. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VzrvASIMT4 Chasing hoop dreams in Iowa | StarTribune.com www.startribune.com/sports/preps/129271728.html

Likely play the 2 and can get to the basket. Pretty athletic and a legit D1 player with serious interest coming from MN and Wisconsin. Apparently is a taller version of JJ. Staff is actively recruiting him right now as we speak. We have a good shot at him and offered very early.

ACE
So is the staff. He will be a great get if he commits. Who is the more highly rated recruit, Lofton or Woodard? Does the first one to commit get the schollie or is one a bigger priority over the other?
DeSmetBilliken
What class is Lofton? The pages I've seen suggest he was a senior this past year. Is he in a prep school now, juco, or where else?

jigga
He reclassified for the class of 2013... Zach can handle the ball as good as anybody under pressure, he can easily be a dominant PG. Because he was such a prolific scorer ppl tend to not notice his great passing ability and unselfishness. Also I believe He and Jordair Jett are friends attended school together for a while, they might have some good chemistry.
